The Program

This course is designed to expand participant knowledge of global health and international health policy. The course

focuses on learning about global health needs assessment, the design, implementation, management, and evaluation of public health programs in international settings.

Students will take a panoramic city tour of Santiago and make visits to health care facilities. Participants will also have a free day in Santiago to explore on their own. A day trip to Valparaiso will take students through the central valley, famous for its wines, fruits, and cheese. The day excursion will continue to Viña del Mar, the most popular beach resort in Chile.

The fee of $4,399 includes:

• 3 units of Fresno State credit • All instruction • Roundtrip airfare from San Francisco to Santiago, Chile • Airport transfers • Local transportation • Lodging in double rooms • Daily breakfast and two special meals • Travel/health insurance

What’s Excluded

Passport, lunches, most dinners and Chile Reciprocity Fee of $160 for US citizens.

All participants in this program must register for credit, includ-ing non-matriculated individuals.

Course fee is $4,399.

• October 8, 2017. First online payment of $1,965 due to WorldStrides

• October 6, 2017. Payment of $435 due to Fresno State

• November 8, 2017. Online payment of $1,564 due to WorldStrides

• December 8, 2017. Final payment of $435 due to Fresno State

You will need to register both with WorldStrides online (see below) and with Fresno State (use registration form in this brochure) for your registration to be complete. To register with WorldStrides, go to this website: www.worldstrides capstone.org/register.

• You will be prompted to enter the Fresno State Trip ID: 148121.

• Once you enter the Trip ID and requested security characters, click on the “Register Now” box on the lower portion of the page and you will be taken directly to the site.

• Review the summary page and click “Register” in the top right corner to enter your information.

• Note: You are required to accept WorldStrides Capstone programs terms and conditions and click “check-out” before your registration is complete.

It is important to understand that you are undertaking a serious contractual obligation when you register for your travel study program. Starting on October 6, 2017, you are respon-sible for all your travel study program fees of $4,399. Your financial obligation will be posted to your Fresno State account even if you withdraw from the program.
