CUES Golden Mirror Awards:

Website

In January 2011, Goldenwest began the process to redesign the existing public website that was originally launched in 2007.

Our objectives included providing our members and guests with a more valuable and user-friendly online resource for financial tools, loan applications and credit union news. Measuring the success of the project is monitored by tracking traffic to the site, time spent on the site, and loan applications originating from the site.

In September 2011, the new public website was launched for our members and guests at www.gwcu.org.

The new Goldenwest website was designed and produced in-house in a collaborative effort by the marketing and IT departments.

Previous Goldenwest websites were designed/produced by an ad agency.

Estimated cost savings by bringing the website project in-house was $50,000 for the initial design, and another $10,000 annually for upkeep/maintenance.
