Currently,pedestriansandbicyclistsmustuseSutterville Roadtotra velbetweenCu rtisParkandthelight railstation.  Thismulti-lane,high-spee droadwaymakeswalkingandbike ridingariskyandaninconven ientwayto travel.Est ablishinga moreconven ientandsafecro ssingencouragespedestrianand bicycletransit,ultimat elyprovidingmor ecommutingoptions. Project Details  Theproposedrampsa ndbridgewillbe12-f eetwide,allo wingenoughroomto accommodate two-waypedestrian andbicycletrac. Thebridgeandrampswil l incorporateuniqueand elegantdetailsth roughthearchitecture ,lighting,coloring andlandscapingatth eentranceandexitso fthecrossing.Ave tosevenfoo tconcrete railingwithaccessshieldsw illincreasesafetyf orpedestriansandlightra iltrainsbelow . Rampandstaircaseaccessw illbeavailabl eatbothendsof thecrossing. Theramp structurewillcompl ywiththeAmericanswith DisabilitiesActstandards.One rampwill endattheproposed CurtisPark Villagedevelop mentandleadint obikelanes.
