Crocs for Kenya Summer Shoes Drive
Sept. 10-12, 2018
Scout troops will be collecting summer shoes at morning drop-off
Nyumbani is a recognized world leader in providing HIV/AIDS services to children and affected families in Kenya. In addition to its orphanage and hematology lab, Nyumbani serves up to 1000 children and grandparents. The Nyumbani Village provides a stable home in a “family setting” for those displaced by the AIDS epidemic. The Village provides K-12 education, vocational training, shelter, food and medical care for its residents. Because the Village is located in a dry area of Kenya, it is very dusty. Crocs are easy to wash off. Any other summer shoes will go to Haiti.
With so many children and adults in need of shoes, any size would be appreciated.
Scouts are invited for a special presentation and sorting of shoes on
Wednesday, Sept. 12 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Little Flower Parish Hall
