Dilshan De Zoysa is an incredibly promising cricketer playing for the star-studded Badureliya Cricket Club in Sri Lankan

domestic cricket.

Playing alongside the likes of international players including Sandun Weerakkody, Milinda Siriwardene, and a raft of

CricX stars (Gamindu Kanishka, Nimanda Madushanka, Buddhika Sanjeewa), De Zoysa helped guide his new side to the

SLC Limited Overs Semi-Final hitting 208 runs at 69.33.

Across all formats to date, De Zoysa has played 51 matches – 28 in first-class, with 1,814 runs at 42.18, alongside 21

wickets with his leg-spin.

Prior to joining Badurelia in 2021, following his brief pre-COVID season with Burgher RC (179 runs at 29.33 in 2020), he

played for Sri Lanka Army Sports Club, with whom, he excelled. In his three seasons with the Army, he scored 484 runs

at 44 (2016/17), 468 runs at 39 (2017/18), and 686 runs at 49 (2019/20).

An incredibly talented cricketer – especially when you consider all of his runs have been scored in Sri Lanka’s top-tier

(Tier A) competitions.

To showcase this talent, De Zoysa headed to the UK in 2021 and enjoyed a successful stint with Hastings and St

Leonards Priory in the Sussex Premier League. Playing alongside former Sussex County batter Harry Finch, the Sri

Lankan all-rounder scored 522 runs at 30.71 and took 35 wickets at 18.20 to conclude a very productive maiden UK

stint.

The all-rounder is now eager to return to England, once again, in 2022 and is ideally seeking a club in the South of

England to be close to his Sri Lankan friends.
