Theme: Communicate a message to your peers about creating change that is important to you. Creating Change through the Arts Contest Guidelines: Create a piece of artwork that communicates to your peers a message about creating change that is important to you. Art Submissions (Grades 4–12) Drawings, paintings, mixed media, or photography. Submissions should be 18”x24”, 22”x28”, or larger. Film/Video Submissions (High School ONLY) Documentary films, digital multimedia, music videos, or animations. Must include a brief process paper of no more than 150 words. Entries should be submitted on a USB drive in MP4 or WMV formats. All submissions should include: Name, address, phone number, e-mail address, school name, and grade level. Rules Who: AACPS Students, grades 4–12 (as of February 9, 2018) When: Projects are due by the close of business Thursday, April 19, 2018 Where: Deliver or mail to: Olivia Constants Foundation , Inc., 912 Commerce Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 Awards: One winner from each level will be determined by the OCF Board of Directors and awards will be made by May 31, 2018. OCF will reproduce the winning posters and/or open media and distribute to AACPS for display and awareness at each school. 4th–5th Graders: Winner will receive $150. Also, OCF will donate $150 to a 501(c)3 charity of the winner’s choice. Middle School: Winner will receive $300. Also, OCF will donate $300 to a 501(c)3 charity of the winner’s choice. High School: Winner will receive $500. Also, OCF will donate $500 to a 501(c)3 charity of the winner’s choice. All submitted work will be considered property of OCF and will not be returned. The Parent Consent Form must be completed and submitted with the artwork.
