User guide for ordering CQC publications.

You can access the system via the main CQC website.

From the homepage at www.cqc.org.uk, select ‘Reports, surveys and reviews’ at the bottom of the page. (Fig.1a)

This will take you to a new page where you need to click on the ‘Order a print publication online’ link. (Fig.1b)

This will take you to the CQC online ordering system which will open in a new window.

You can order your CQC publications directly via this

system free of charge.

Publications have been categorised by content, format

and intended audience and documents should be easy

to find.

Overview

Every page in the system will have the top navigation bar ( fig.2) which consists of –

Home – Always returns you to the Home page

My orders – Where you can view all the orders you have personally placed

Tools – This allows you to change your password and personal details

Help – Where a handy user guide is stored for easy reference

Logout – To leave the system and return to the log in page

Basket – This shows you how many items you currently have in your basket, you can click on the basket to be taken to the basket page

Below this information it will also display which page you are currently on.

From the home page (fig.3) you will be able to

navigate through the categories to view and order the

products within them.

• When ordering standard catalogue products like leaflets and reports, follow the steps outlined on pages 1-3, navigating the system until you find the product you wish to order.

• Click ‘Order’ to begin the order process of the product you have selected. (fig.4)

Ordering catalogue items

• You will be shown a preview image of the item you are ordering

• Click ‘Continue’ to begin the order process for that item

• When you have specified the quantity required, click on ‘Add to Basket’.

When you have selected a product for order

you will be taken to the order screen (fig.5)

Here you will view a preview image of the

product and then select an order quantity.

When you have checked over the proof and

specified the quantity required, click on

‘Add to Basket’.

• When all products selected have been added to your basket on the order page (fig.5 on page 5), you will then arrive at the basket page (fig.6).

• This page lists all products in your basket, including quantity. It also gives you the opportunity to remove one or more items from your basket if required.

• To add more products to your basket click ‘Continue Shopping’, otherwise to complete your order ‘Proceed to Checkout’.

• Once you ‘Proceed to Checkout’ (fig.7) you will be taken to the delivery details page where you can enter your shipping address details.

• When all elements are complete click ‘Checkout and your order will be completed

• Once your order is completed, you will receive an email notification confirming your order (fig.13) .

• You will also see a confirmation of you order on screen after which you can either navigate back to the online ordering system homepage to continue shopping or ‘Logout’ and conclude your session.

• Your order should be received within 5 working days of completing your order
