Dance Week FestivalThe Dance Week Festival is Croatia’s primary festival of contemporary dance. It is integrated into European and international world of dance and has contributed substantially to the visibility of Croatian dance internationally. During its 33 years of existence, the Festival has presented over 800 world renowned companies and artists, along with over 100 productions of Croatian works, and continues to develop international collaborations. The Festival is proud of its continued work and collaboration with the Israeli dance artists and organizations throughout its history.

Tjedan suvremenog plesa

Tjedan suvremenog plesa je glavni hrvatski festival suvremenog plesa. On se uklapa u evropski i međunarodni svijet plesa i značajno doprinosi istaknutom položaju hrvatskoga plesa na međunarodnoj sceni. U svoje 33 godine postojanja festival je predstavio preko 800 svjetski istaknutih skupina i umjetnika i preko 100 izvedbi hrvatskih djela i dalje razvija međunarodnu suradnju.Festival se ponosi svojim stalnim radom i suradnjom s izraelskim plesnim umjet-nicima i organizacijama kroz svoju povijest.

Embassy of the State of IsraelEmbassy of the State of Israel in the Republic of Croatia was established more than 10 years ago. Since then many Israeli artists, musicians, dancers, writers and others visited Croatia and performed all over the country.An excellent cooperation with the Dance Week Festival has been going on for years and numerous Israeli dance groups, which are well known and acclaimed all over the world, have performed at the Festival. Among them are Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company, Fresco, Vertigo, Barak Mashall and many others, as well as famous soloists and choreographers.

Veleposlanstvo Države IzraelVeleposlanstvo Države Izrael u Republici Hrvatskoj osnovano je prije više od 10 godina. Od tada su mnogi izraelski umjetnici, glazbenici, plesači, književnici i drugi posjetili Hrvatsku i nastupali širom zemlje.Odlična suradnja s Tjednom suvremenog plesa traje već godinama i brojne iz-raelske plesne skupine koje su poznate i priznate širom svijeta, nastupale su na festivalu. Među njima su plesne skupine Kibbutz, Batsheva, Fresco, Vertigo, Barak Marshall i mnoge druge, kao i proslavljeni solisti i koreografi iz Izraela.

Itzik GaliliInternationally renowned choreographer Itzik Galili returns to Israel after more than 20 years.Galili was Artistic Director of NND/Galili Dance (1997 - 2008) and the co-founder and Artistic Director of Dansgroep Amsterdam (2009 - 2010). He has worked with numerous renowned dance companies and built a diverse portfolio of over 70 works for companies including Stuttgart Ballett, Ballets de Monte Carlo, Bayerisches Staatsballett Munich, Gulbenkian Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, National Dance Company Wales, Batsheva Dance Company, Nederlands Dans Theater 2, Scapino Ballet, Bale da Cidade de Sao Paulo, Dutch National Ballet, Finnish National Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Ballet British Columbia, Rambert Dance Company, Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, English National Ballet, and Staatsballett Berlin.On April 2006, Itzik Galili was made a Knight of the Royal Order of The House of Oranje Nassau by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands for his contribution to Dutch dance. In 2009, his work A Linha Curva was nominated for three awards in the UK.

Itzik GaliliMeđunarodno priznati koreograf Itzik Galili vratio se u Izrael nakon više od 20 godina odsutnosti. Galili je bio umjetnički direktor NND/Galili plesne skupine (1997. - 2008.) i suosnivač i umjetnički direktor plesne grupe Amsterdam (2009. - 2010). Man of the HourItzik Galili’s Man of the Hour is an opus in which individuals, who are part of our society, search for the glory of the moment and for a piece of memory that will create a personal and national identity in a journey from an agonizing cry to peaceful serenity. After more than 20 years away from Israel, Galili presents Israel as he sees it today. Čovjek trenutkaČovjek trenutka Itzika Galilija je djelo u kojem pojedinci koji su dio našega društva traže slavu trenutka i djelić sjećanja koji će stvoriti osobni i nacionalni identitet tijekom putovanja od krika agonije do mirnoga spokoja. Nakon više od 20 godina odsustva, Galili predstavlja Izrael kakvim ga on vidi danas.
