Thecourseisbasedon8weekendsoftrainingtogetherwithteachingexperiencealongsideasenioryogateacher.Thestudentwillberequiredtoassistwithclassplanning,applythephilosophiesandteachingtechniques,aswellasmakebothverbalandhandsonadjustments.
Thetotalnumberofcontacthoursintheclassroomis180andinadditiontothisallbreaksareheldatthepremisesandtobeusedforgroupdiscussions,questionsandpreparation,allinthepresenceoftheSYTandthereforecountedascontacthours.Thisbringsthetotaltotherequired200hours.

Readingassignmentswillbesentoutpriortoeachtutorialalongwithsuggestedreadingfromarelevantsectionofeachbook.Inordertoensurestudentshavereadthesepassages,therewillbegroupdiscussionandquestionsregardingthecontent.
StudentsarerequiredtokeepajournaloftheirYogapractiseandbeforecompletionofcoursehaveproofofattendanceofatleast20ledclasseswhereaninstructorisrequestedtosigninordertoverifystudentattendance.
Uponcompletionstudentswillhaveafinalassessmenttoqualify.
