With over 6 million people, near-perfect weather, and its famed Opera House, Sydney is one of the world’s favourite cities! ihBC Sydney is located in the heart of the Central Business District CBD, a 5 minute walk from the Queen Victoria Building and 10 minutes from both Town Hall and Wynyard train station. There are bus stops directly in front of the campus. 17 spacious and comfortable classrooms, with the latest audio visual equipment, create a perfect learning environment. All teaching materials and resources are online. The campus is three levels, with 2 large common areas with kitchens. The are 15 computers available for student use, as well as WiFi throughout the campuses. Student Services staff are available to assist students from 8am until 7.30pm daily.

Opening in November 2017, the new ihBC Darwin campus is located in the Darwin CBD, close to public transportation, restaurants, cafes and all sorts of shops and stores in the Darwin pedestrian mall. Public transport stops directly in front of the campus. The two level building is home to 12 classrooms, with large, light filled rooms, common areas inside and out, and 10 student computers and strong WiFi. Darwin, a city of 140,000 inhabitants, is one of Australia’s most liveable cities, with warm, welcoming people. Jobs are plentiful, and the cost of living is considerably lower than Sydney or Melbourne. Students residing in Darwin have an opportunity to partake in an authentic Australian experience, and also learn about Aboriginal culture.

At ihBC our focus is our students’ success

To ensure that all students get the most of their learning journey, we provide many training opportunities throughout the week. Our timetable has been designed to include different learning activities. Our core lectures take place one day per week, vto allow students to reinforce their knowledge during workshops and tutorial sessions taking place the other days of the week.

Nationally Recognised Training

Unique Student Identifier

All ihBC courses are recognised Nationally Recognised courses. Nationally recognised training is any programme of training leading to vocational qualifications and credentials that are recognised across Australia. It  includes studying at a public or private training organisation, completing an apprenticeship, certificate or diploma course.

A USI is required for students undertaking nationally recognised training (qualifications, accredited courses, skill sets and units of competency) unless exempt. This includes international students studying in Australia.

If you don’t have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment. Your USI will allow you to have online access to a record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.
