• In exchange for 2 parcels of land in Brickfields
measuring approx. 214,000 sq ft or RM601 psf.
• Privatisation of the following construction works:-
i) Little India Project – upgrading and beautification of
Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur
beginning from the intersection of Jalan Travers and
Jalan Tun Sambanthan up to the entrance of the
Brickfields Police Station (“Project 1”);
ii) Pines Bazaar – a three-storey building consisting of

LRT EXTENSION – AMPANG LINE PACKAGE B – MAIN FACILITIES WORKS AND

Ongoing Construction
• The proposed Ampang LRT extension line will commence
from the present Sri Petaling station, passing through
Puchong, Kinrara and ending at the hub in Putra Heights.
The proposed line will consist of 13 new stations and
approximately 17.7km of guideway.
• This section will be divided into 2 main contract packages.
Package A is from Seri Petaling Station to Station No. 5
which is 7.4 km and Package B is from Station No. 5 to Putra
Heights Station which is 10.3 km.
• Main Contractors for Facilities are to be responsible for the
following facilities works:
(i) All guideway sub-structure and main structure works;
(ii) Foundation work for stations and traction power sub-
stations;
(iii) To launch and install Segmental Box Girders (SBG);
(iv) To supply and install parapets and noise barriers;
(v) Construction of stations and traction power sub-stations;
(vi) Supply and Install of escalators and lifts; and
(vii) Construction of Multi-Storey Car Parks
• MRCB’s new contract secured on 15 August 2011:-
• Contract sum: RM1.33 billion - Main contractor for
construction and completion of facilities works including
fabrication and delivery of segmental box girders
(Package B) for the Ampang line extension project.
• Contract sum: RM67.2 million - nominated sub-
contractor to Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd for sub-
contract of the fabrication and delivery of segmental box
girders (Package B) for the Kelana Jaya line extension
project.
