Working in SewerCAD
Open SewerCAD model for Foul Water Project
-Create flex table for Manholes, Conduits and Outfalls for required attributes
-Create shape files from flex tables

Working in GIS
- Open cadastral file in GIS to get PIN no. for each plot
- Map PIN no. of plots to the MH no. and Population provided in Excel sheet
- Create shape file for plots, manholes and population

Working in Infowroks CS
Open InfoWorks Admin to Create a new master dataabse
- Database new master database
- Browse to preferred folder and give database a name
- Database select master database
- There are two boxes in the dialog: select preferred folder for Local root
- InfoWorks will create a folder with a long name in this location, for new
projects (for existing projects there needs to be a local root folder here)projects (for existing projects there needs to be a local root folder here)
- Browse to location of preferred master database and select OK
- View InfoWorks Explorer (opens active database)
- For a new project create a new catchment group / model group as per
project
- Close IW Admin

Open InfoWorks CS For a Foul Water Project
- Select Master Database (similar to Admin)
- Create a new network
- Import Full Flag Set
- Set up User Defined Defaults
- Import from SewerCAD using Open Data Import Centre (ODIC)
- Note Import Nodes first (coordinate data): Elevation; Label and Dia- Note Import Nodes first (coordinate data): Elevation; Label and Dia
- Outfalls are special types of nodes change type during import
- Import Links next: Dia; USIL; DSIL; Start node; Stop node
- Import subcatchments from GIS-cadastral - PIN
Create a new network in InfoWorks
Import User Defined Flags
Update User Defined Defaults
Import Network Objects using ODIC
