The Greener Group are an award winning, MCS accredited renewable energy installer specialising in the installation of Solar Photovoltaic panels, Biomass Boilers, Solar Heating and Air Source/Ground Source Heat Pumps.

We design all our systems in-house, have extensive technical knowledge and pride ourselves on delivering the entire process from design through installation and commissioning to the highest possible standards.

Clients we have worked with recently include SPIE, United Utilities, Alliance National, Morris Bakers, Hall Hunter Partnership and English Lakes Hotels to name a few.

The Greener Group designed, installed and commissioned a 250kW solar PV system for Portsmouth Surgical Equipment in December 2014.

Portsmouth Surgical Equipment are designers and manufacturers of quality operating theatre equipment. The site owners decided to maximise the installation size at their distribution centre in order to lower their energy costs and receive a new stream of income through the Feed-in Tari. As this installation will more than meet the company’s energy demands throughout the day, the excess energy will be sent to The National Grid, all whilst benetting from the Export Tari.

UNITED UTILITIES

As a utilities company United Utilities experience a very high demand for energy all throughout the day, thus making solar PV an ideal candidate for the business. Solar was chosen to be trialled at their Prescot site due to its cost-eectiveness and the ease and speed of its deployment - minimising disruptions to operations.

This rst installation will generate enough power to supply 13 average UK homes with electricity for a whole year. United Utilities are now looking to extend their solar roll-out with further projects across various sites in development.

MORRIS QUALITYBAKERS

Morris Quality Bakers in Chorley, Lancashire supply many large supermarket chains, such as ASDA, across the North West with high-quality baked goods for their customers to enjoy.

As the bakery uses a large amount of energy throughout the day solar PV is the ideal renewable technology for the company to install - the panels will be performing at their peak levels during the same hours the site will see the highest demand for energy.

HYDRELIO FLOATING SOLAR PV

Sheeplands Farm is the rst Floating Solar site in the UK. The farm utilises their new 60 million litre irrigation reservoir by generating free, green energy on-site to power the reservoir’s pump.

The installation of solar PV on water allows Sheeplands Farm to increase their energy independence without taking up any of their valuable land space. Sheeplands Farm has an additional 150kW of solar PV and 269kW of biomass boilers installed across various locations on the site.

BESPOKEUK INSTALLER

The Greener Group has worked on a range of cutting edge and bespoke projects over the years. As a design and installation partner we are happy to look at unique projects and nd a solution.

WHOLE HOUSERENEWABLES

The client for this project was a private developer who was building an Eco Home on the Isle of Anglesey.

We were assigned to install a solar thermal and solar PV system on the property. Energy eciency was a top priority that inuenced construction. This design philosophy saw the site rewarded with an ‘A’ rating for energy eciency.

The building has triple glazing, a biomass boiler and solar thermal water heating. Solar PV was seen as the next logical step in making the house as environmentally friendly as possible.

UNIQUE INSTALLATIONS

The Greener Group has experience of installing unique projects for clients throughout the UK. These include the rst oating solar array on a reservoir and the rst retrotted SolarEdge PV system.

BIOMASS BOILERINSTALLATIONS

Legislation often now requires new developments to include a renewable heat technology as the main source of heat for a building.

The TGG heating team designs and installs both large commercial renewable heating systems and multiple property renewable heating systems throughout the UK.

The Greener Group has worked extensively in the agricultural sector installing a whole range of renewable technologies on farms throughout the UK.

This 199kW biomass system (pictured) supplies four cottages, a farmhouse, a swimming pool and an underoor heating system.

The single 199kW biomass boiler replaced several LPG boilers.

HEAT PUMPINSTALLATIONS

Heat Pumps are an ideal way to provide low carbon and low cost heating for a range of properties from small ats or detached houses to commercial properties and warehouses .

Using the latent heat in the air or ground heat pumps work all year round and are ideally suited to new build or well insulated properties.

Heat Pumps are especially suited for o-gas locations as they only require electricity to operate.

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) (pictured)

Use the latent heat in the air and compress it to output 4 times the amount energy (heat) that was put in. Comfortably work down to minus 10 degrees.

Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP)Use the geothermal heat in the ground and transfer it via a heat exchanger. Operates down to temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees.
