Continuous Improvement

• Have you been tasked as lead on driving improving efficiency on your program through data analysis?

• Where do you get the data?• How do you combine the test results, quality data and

SPC calculations?• Is the data even accurate?• How many team members will it take and how long to

compile the thousands of data points and graphs?• How do I even calculate process capability?• And how do I do it in less time than it takes to read this

slide?

• Step 1. Open DLT’s new Continuous Improvement Data Package using Excel.

• Step 2. The first tab contains the Pareto of the top failures. These failures are 80% of the problems.

• Step 3. Identify which serial numbers have this problem and what was done to fix the problem by going to the next five tabs. These tabs correspond to the five top failures shown in the previous slide.

• Step 4. Every result from every step number in the test is recorded and calculated automatically on it’s own tab. Tab right and find the tab for the top offender.
