AsthedirectoroftheInstitutodeMicrocirugíaOcular(IMO)inBarcelona,IampleasedtopresentthisContinuingEducationinOphthalmologyProgramme.Theprogrammedescribesthedifferentmaster’sandpostgraduatedegreesorganisedbytheAutonomousUniversityofBarcelonaandtheIMOFoundation.

Asyoualreadyknown,significantprogresshasbeenmadeinthefieldofOphthalmologyoverrecentyears,withtheconstantappearanceofnewtechnologiesthatperfectthemethodsofdiagnosisandtreatments,whethertheyaremedicalorsurgical.Itisonlythroughconstantresearchandon-goingmedicaleducationthatitispossibleforustocontinueimprovingthequalityofcare.

TheInstitutodeMicrocirugíaOcularwasfoundedbyagroupofophthalmologyphysiciansintheirdifferentspecialitieswho,afterseveralyearsofworkingtogether,decidedtojoinforcestomakegreaterprogressandtoofferthehighestleveloftechnicalresourcesintheirwork.ThisContinuingEducationprogrammeseekstoteachthedifferentspecialitiestoophthalmologists,peoplewithdiplomasinnursing,opticsandoptometry,withsomepriorexperienceandaninterestinupdatingtheirknowledgeofthenewtechnologiesandtheirapplicationinOphthalmology.
