Electronic Publishing ApplicationsIntroduces students to the computer software used in the development of page design and layout. Emphasis will be placed on the production of basic business publications including newsletters, fliers, brochures, etc. Must be proficient with computers to take this class. High School Driver Training A comprehensive training committed to effectively developing low-risk behavioral patterns and preparing young drivers to be safe operators in today’s complex driving environment. The goal is to eliminate preventable accidents and to give young drivers the skills and technology needed to survive as new drivers. Meets Oregon requirements for high school driver education. Consists of one mandatory parent night, 16 classroom sessions, and 12 hours of driving lab.

Price InformationFor students who complete the program while under the age of 18 and with a permit (not a license) the cost of the program is $290. Upon successful completion of this program, these students will receive an ODOT-Issued certificate of completion that waives their drive test when getting a license at the DMV.

For students who obtain their license or turn 18 prior to completion, the cost of the program is $500. Students must still take a drive test at the DMV when getting a license, but will receive a RCC-Issued certificate of completion.

Bread Making 101 How to use yeast, flours and liquids to make several interesting and delicious breads. We’ll use a sourdough starter to finish sour dough bread and learn to make our own sourdough starters. We’ll make basic loaf and hand-formed bread, and delicious, gooey cinnamon rolls. French Classics: Winter Warming Cassoulet!We’ll learn the intricacies of the slow-cooked, utterly delicious original casserole. Making Bloomy Rind Cheeses This class specializes in cheeses known as bloomy rinds such as Camembert and the Brie styles.
