Chapter1I remember looking at her for the first time; it was a

bright summer day, birds chirping, flowersblooming. It was love at first sight, at least for me. I

still remember the day like it was yesterday, herbeautiful elongated eyes, felt like they had a lot of

stories to tell; her smile is as beautiful as it istoday. I somehow gathered the courage to go and talk

to her, half a fumbled sentence came out ofmy mouth, and I realised, I had no idea what I was

saying, she giggled. This was enough for me toknow how this would last forever.

When people ask, what it like is to grow old with your soul mate, its perfect, everyday seems like a

new day, something I look forward to, we share laughs and giggles, share our favourite memories

with each other. I meant it, when I promised; I’d grow old with her. To this day, it still brings a smile

to my face when I think about the first time I saw her, I think about all the beautiful memories I’ve

shared with her and look forward to many more to come.

Chapter 2 While I sit back after the daily old household

chores , it is your face which comes in my mind even after 5 years of my marriage with a man I don’t think I love . I still think of our golden times where we used to hangout in the evening

near the garden which was behind the temple of our village . I had already thought of marriage and the future ahead but did not realize that the

consenWt of parents was so necessary in their children’s life plans .

Knowing the fact that you were more wealthy than me , I still had a vibe that we would end up together but I think that’s life , which never goes according to our expectations . I hope you are happily settled with your married life, but I

do still miss you everyday and probably will for the rest of my life.

Chapter 3The school bell rang, the day was over and the rain had flooded up the district. An

epitome of fear lurked on Geetha while the ever notorious Balram looked far more than relaxed as he graced the rain with all the joy in the world!

Just as he passed the school lane, a worried Geetha was trembling under an trench looking for a certain help to get her home & BOOM!!

A 20-minute walk which was decided by destiny was enough for both the lads to fall for each other! The process of falling for each other didn’t took long and after school

meets, enjoying hot corns, winter chais were a habit and love letter never stopped! Ever seen a pitch perfect love-story? No! The rocky path for Balram & Geetha wasn’t

too long enough! A Tamilian Bhramin & a Maharashtrian guy paved a big throne in the rose for them!

Without a go, Geetha was forced to merry a Ph.D in Tamil literature - Sankar! Hard to believe, but Sankar agreed to marry Geetha knowing her love for Balram. In an anticipation that she would change her mind and start loving himself, Sankar tried winning Geetha’s heart everyday only to realise that it was always won by Balram. On just another day, when Balram was rushing for his lecture, a fatal road traffic

accident claimed his life..A devastated Geetha rushed to the hospital only to realise that the battle was lost.

Somewhere deep down the line, a hint of guilt shivered through her veins of not accept-ing Sankar’s love.

However this being late, a year passed away! Thoughts of Sankar and Balram never stopped! A siren of of an urgency flickered her mind.

Amidst the turmoil, she would find peace at a Koyil right in front of her house. On another day, while she was returning home from the temple, an eyestruck moment

happend! Yes, Balram was there to be seen crossing the road! Tounge caught, legs blocked,

hands unmoved. It was the loudest that she would shouted since her first cry. Love-struck again? Yes. An amazed Balram felt ever joyed to see the love of his life

and Geetha’s eyes said it all. Destiny definitely has alot of things in store for us and it depends on us if only we wish

to believe.
