Construc)on of magazine contents page: First I used dafont.com to recreate the contents banner to be in the same font as the masthead and then in Photoshop, I used the effects to create the drop shadow again. I did this in order to give the audience some familiarity with the styling of the masthead so they are more likely to remember it, and also I believed that this suited the layout of the magazine as it makes it look more professional. I also included the mas thead next to this banner and the date and issue number again. Following my original planning, I have included secAon headings on my contents page to divide all of the contents up, as I believe this will make my magazine look more professional and it more organised for the target au dience to look at and understand. Using the “Bookman Old Style” font in a bold style and size 30pt, I added the page numbers to the main contents list. Also, I used the “stroke” effect and co loured them yellow in order to make them more visible to the reader.

Construc)on  of  magazine  contents  page:

First  I  used  dafont.com  to  recreate  the  contents  banner  to  be  in  the  same  font  as  the  masthead  and  then  in  Photoshop,  I  used  the  effects  to  create  the  drop  shadow  again. I  also  included  the  mas-‐

thead  next  to  this  banner  and  the  date  and  issue  number  again.

Following  my  original  planning,  I  have  included  secAon  headings  on  my  contents  page  to  divide  all  of  the  contents  up,  as  I  believe  this  will  make  my  magazine  look  more  professional  and  it  more  organised  for  the  target  au-‐dience  to  look  at  and  understand.

Using  the  “Bookman  Old  Style”  font  in  a  bold  style  and  size  30pt,  I  added  the  page  numbers  to  the  main  contents  list.  Also,  I  used  the  “stroke”  effect  and  co-‐loured  them  yellow  in  order  to  make  them  more  visible  to  the  reader.

The  next  step  I  took  was  adding  images  to  the  contents  page.  I  cropped  the  image  of  the  cover  arAst  in  Photoshop,  prior  to  posiAoning  it  on  this  page,  as  the  full  image  did  not  fit  into  the  layout  well.  AddiAonally,  I  followed  a  convenAon  of  a  contents  page  by  adding  a  border  to  these  images.  I  also  placed  the  page  number  of  the  arAcle  that  the  image  is  relaAng  to  on  top  of  the  image  in  a  larger  text  size  so  that  it  does  not  get  lost  in  the  photograph.  I  then  added  short  capAons  to  the  photographs.

I  then  added  a  small  editors  note  to  the  contents  page  to  introduce  the  readers  to  the  new  magazine  and  give  them  a  small  insight  into  some  things  that  can  expect  to  see  in  the  issue.

The  penulAmate  step  was  adding  in  a  compeAAon  secAon  of  the  page.  Using    the  magneAc  lasso  tool,  I  cut  around  the  original  photograph  of  the  guitar  so  it  would  fit  into  what  the  text  was  saying.

Finally,  I  added  in  the  text  of  the  contents  and  the  small  descripAons  underneath.
