ATTENDANCE Parents, we appreciate the great effort being made thus far to have students in school on time. Please continue supporting us as we encourage students to be on time to school everyday. Student Attendance and the Monitoring of Student Absenteeism: Texas State law states: A student who fails to attend classes for at least 90% of the days the class is offered, cannot receive credit for the class—even if the absences were excused by the school district for medical or other reasons. (TEC 25.092) It is mandatory for you and your child to comply with the Texas State law requirement. Students not complying will be placed on an excessive absence probationary notice for the 2013-14 school year and will be at risk of being retained for excessive absences. ATTENTION Free & Reduce Meal Applications must be filled out each year by all IDEA family members by September 27th, 2013. If you have not done so, please reach out to kitchen manager or ask your son/daughter for a copy of the application. Only one application is needed per family. ATENCION Aplicaciones para la comida de los estudiantes deben ser llenadas cada ano por las familias de los estudiantes de IDEA. Una aplicacion por familia tiene que ser llenada para el 27 de Septiembre de 2013. Si no lo ha hecho, favor de contactar al supervisor de la cafeteria de la escuela a la que assite su hijo(a) o pidale a su hijo que le lleve un copia de la applicacion. Solo se necesita una aplicacion por familia. Asistencia de Estudiantes y Monitoreo de Faltas de Estudiantes : La Ley Estatal de Texas dice: Estudiantes que faltan a clase por lo menos 90% de los dias de clases, no recibiran credito por la clase—aun si las faltas fueron con escusas por el distrito por razones medicas u otras razones. 25.092) Es requerido que usted y su hijo/a cumplan con los requisitos de la Ley Estatal de Texas.

Estudiantes que no cumplan seran puestos a prueba de noticia de faltas excesivas.
