ment’. In this installation memories are re-enacted with materials and objects resembling remembered places and

atmospheres of the two women. The house acted as an atmospheric place of memories, the movie placed inside the

house shows the current housing situation of the two women as i visited them with my hand camera. The act of walk-

ing is shown in the movie as an important part of memories coming to life. A castle which was bombed in World War

Two plays a key role in the installation, because one of the women has a biographical connection with the castle and

is occupied by researching the history of her town. The installation is constructed with objects from various times:

Due to my work Walking and Remembering I wanted to get to know more people who are in the situation to having to move into an institutionalised new environment: a residency for seniors. The pictures depict

personal objects of the people I met and their placement in often spatially restricting environments, show-JOH�UIF�DPNQSPNJTFT�POF�IBT�UP�NBLF��4PNFUJNFT�UIFZ�EFQJDU�TNBMM�mHVSJOFT�BOE�QJDUVSFT�UP�TIPX�XIBU�

kind of objects survive the rationalisation of their relocation.

This is a series of photographs accompanying interviews with international female artists about their clothing. We talked about personal taste and representation. To be present as a female artist is also about

being seen and presented in the art world.

When I visit these exhbition openings, I see alot of very fashionable people, people where you can just see they are fashionable and work in the artistic scene.

How can you see that?

Because.. they look extraordinary fashionable, but not just that - artistic.

What are typical fabrics and cuts?

If there is color its just a small piece, like a red scarf.. red lipstick and red shoes. Yes I know this and it takes a lot of time and a lot of work, I think, to have their own style. And in general they have clean skin. laughs I don’t know why... I don’t. But many people I mean especial-ly older people - young people are similar anyway - but old people have very shiny clean skin. Especially women.

First we go through her cupboard and sort out the totally impractical stuff. Most of the clothes are not good for tempereatures over 30 degrees. As a typical poor student her collection of clothes come from QSFTFOUT�PG�IFS�NPUIFS�SBSFMZ�XPSO �IFS�HPPE�GSJFOE�AXIP�LOPXT�UIJT�CVTJOFTT��BOE�IFS�PXO�SBSF�TIPQ-QJOH�TQSFFT��5IFSF�BSF�UXP�QPTTJCJMJUJFT�GPS�UIF�FWFOJOH��5IF�QFODJM�TLJSU�JT�EFDJEFE�VQPO��4IF�mOET�B�tightly constructed top and puts it on. Its not really me, she says, well, my mother would like me wearing UIBU �CVU�OPU�NF��4IF�UBLFT�JU�PGG�BOE�UBLFT�B�nPXZ�XIJUF�TQPSUZ�TIJSU�PVU�PG�UIF�DVQCPBSE��4IF�MPPLT�JO�UIF�mirror and says immediately: That’s me!
