1. What is evidence-based physiotherapy

Evidence-based physiotherapy is physiotherapy

informed by relevant, high-quality research.

Whenever possible, clinical decisions should be

informed by high-quality clinical research, but

never just by clinical research. Good clinical

decisions, whether evidence-based or not, should

involve consideration of patient preferences and

therapists’ practice knowledge.
