DESCRIPTION: Boys and their toys; playing with power tools; medicine meets machines. All of these topics will be discussed as they pertain to emergency care. There are lots of “toys” out there, but what the books teach and more importantly, what they don’t teach (and really should), are covered in this fast-paced research meets reality review of all things alternate airway and intraosseous!

Globally, a significant number of people are killed or maimed by envenomation and not treated with up-to-date, evidence and experience based medi-cine but with status quo and hearsay. In this talk we will visit up to date envenomation care of snakebite envenomation for both the pre-hospital and hospital practitioners. Hear the proper care from the medical director of Venom Response Team as seen on TV’s “Swamp Wars”.
