    This table shows the causes of social conflicts in Sitio Apia, Barangay

    Calawis, Antipolo City. The following are ethnic groups, religion, health

    problems, culture, politics and others (drinking, stealing, school issues etc.)

    The results shows that drinking, stealing etc. got the highest frequency

    which is 55 and a percentage of 45.83% while the ethnic groups got the least

    mean of 3% and a percentage of 2.5%.

    Sociologist George Simmel identified four sources of conflict: wars,

    conflict within groups, legal disputes and clashes over ideology, such as

    religion and politics (Holt et al, 1995). Since school and friend, issues are

    present in the community it is one of the main cause of conflict among

    population. Competition such as politics, culture and religion contributes to

    the conflict in the society. (Landis, 1998). He also stated that an economic

    factor such as poverty that leads to stealing is one of the basic causes of

    conflict in the community.

    According to the data gathered, 64 families or 50% who used mixed

    housing materials got the highest percentage. It is mostly made up of wood

    & concrete hollow blocks. On the other hand, 2 families or 1.56% composing

    of makeshift materials got the lowest percentage.

    According to the data gathered, 50% of the houses are made up of

    mixed material because it is more affordable to averaged people in the Sitio

    Apia, Brgy. Calawis, Antipolo city. By mixed materials that are susceptible to

    strong woods of typhoons. Also people in the community second

    prioritization are health thats why preferred mixed because it is safe.

    People choose mixed materials because this priority is their health and

    they cannot afford the more expensive housing materials that are very

    costly. But even if their homes are made up of mixed materials, they believe

    these can help to make them minimize accidents although they are

    amenable that when strong or super typhoon comes along, they are most

    likely going to suffer so much. People in the community prefer for the

    security and comfort ability of their family though and would want to stick

    together no matter what or even if they are poor and live in a depressed

    community. The construction of the house is very important because it is one

    of the basic needs of people to ensure the safety of their family. This would

    also provide a security measure and adjustments in physical facilities thatmay be required to help the client manage a physical disability, tolerance

    and daily living activities.
