Thank you for your interest in Your Housing Group. This is a guide to assist you in applying. Please read it carefully before filling out the application form.

If printing off the application please write clearly in black ink and ensure you sign and date your application and return it to the address on the front of the job pack, before the closing date. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

Please complete all the sections of the application form, in full. If there are any sections that are not relevant to you, for example; Community/volunteer experience, then please write `not applicable`.

Fill in the form as fully as possible. The information you give us in your application is the only information we will use in the short listing process. We cannot make any assumptions about your abilities and do not take account of any previous applications you have made.

The job description sets out the duties and responsibilities of the job advertised and the person specification (if provided) sets out the essential and desirable skills, abilities and knowledge required to do the job. You will be short-listed if you have demonstrated in your supporting Experience Statement that you meet the essential requirements of the job.

Your supporting Experience statement should contain each essential requirement from the person specification (or competencies from the role profile) as a heading. You can then give specific examples from your previous work history that illustrate how you meet these requirements under each heading to ensure that you meet the criteria.
