Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineering Portfolio

The following is a culmination of the work I have done so far in my career with CFD, using SolidWorks Flow Simulation software. I was introduced to CFD at my first co-op internship, but most of the skills were acquired on my own. The first project I have to show is an independent project, expressing my highest interest and passion: flight and aviation. This is something I would like to work on in my engineering career in the future. First, I modeled from scratch a Boeing 747 using SolidWorks:

Then I started a Flow Simulation project, making cut and surface plots with my results to show patterns and behavior of pressure and temperature, on and around the plane. Screenshots of the results are as follows:

The second project I have originates from my position at Eemax Inc, a company that produces electric tankless water heaters. My assignment was to analyze different scenarios of water flowing through the main heating body. The spiral metal heating element you see in the middle channel of the body produced certain amounts of power, the value of which varied for each run of the simulation. I learned to simulate best, worst, and average case scenarios. I did not create the following model itself, but I did perform the CFD simulation. A few of the results are as follows:
