Summer Reading - Every summer the Wimberley library offers an Incentive Reading Program for children of all ages. A variety of prizes are awarded to the reader when a completed reading log is redeemed, offering children an added incentive to read over the
summer months. This program lasts from June through August, giving young readers ample opportunity to win prizes while enjoying books. The library also offers educational,

Gary Job Corps offers hands-on career technical training as well as academic training assisting with high school equivalency (HSE) or high school diploma (HSD) for youth 16-24 years of age. Job Corps offers career planning, on-the-job training, job placement,
residential housing, food service, driver's education, health and dental care, nutritional classes, a bi-weekly basic living allowance and clothing allowance. No cost to students or families with free housing.
Hands of Hope

A tuition-free, 10-week education program for women with life- and job-skills training,
Bible study. Each woman receives a mentor who works with her for at least 6 months
after the course is over. Held at the Baptist Church in San Marcos, with support provided
