Construction Management

Harvest will provide a construction management product to assist developers in bringing a quality project to commercial operation.

Harvest employees will design and manage a comprehensive project execution plan. Harvest can begin by implementing a formal RFP process, provide contractor selection criteria, and evaluate proposals for wind turbine technology and construction contractors. The company can support the negotiation of turbine supply and construction contracts, and with our engineering teams review of technical specifications and design to ensure that the product is compatible and consistent with the construction plans, specifications, and applicable code and law. After notice to proceed, the Harvest team will implement project controls and procedures to ensure that the project construction proceeds within budget and to plan. On the site, Harvest personnel will be a daily presence providing oversight and efficient communications with the turbine vendor, prime contractor, landowners and regulatory authorities.

Harvest can develop and implement a quality control plan that ensures that services and equipment meet expectation and specifications throughout the design, manufacturing delivery, and installation phases of the project. Ifnecessary, Harvest can respond to schedule and project challenges by designing and managing recovery plans to get the project back into planned parameters.

Operations and Maintenance

Harvest’s O&M offerings include trained technicians dispatched to customer wind farms to perform scheduled maintenance on all major makes and models of wind turbines. Harvest also dispatches technicians to perform unscheduled maintenance when required including designing and managing large corrective and remediation campaigns.

The company has also developed a documented process for performing end of warranty inspections. These inspections include gearbox internal inspections using boroscopes, lubricant sampling and analysis, blade inspections, generator testing and inspection, vibration measurement, and visual walk-down inspections of the full turbine, tower and foundations. Harvest will document all inspection issues, provide warranty claim documentation, and manage corrective campaigns if requested by the owner or original equipment manufacturer.

Harvest is looking to expand its scope on customer sites by offering full service O&M for specific sites under a long-term contract

with the owner or as a subcontractor to the turbine supplier during the warranty period and beyond. These long-term contracts require a multi-year presence on the customer site, and complete management of all maintenance activities and spare parts inventories.

Asset Management

Harvest’s asset management services will combine and coordinate all of the services necessary to operate a wind power facility on behalf of its owners and investors. Harvest can also offer asset management separately, or as a package, to meet customer needs. The asset management package includes full-time site supervision and coordination of O&M activities on site whether or not O&M is provided by Harvest or a third party. Harvest site staff can also perform O&M for balance of plant and other scope not included in turbine O&M. Harvest will provide business hour or 24/7 monitoring of SCADA systems incorporating remote reset capability and coordinating on site resets as required. From the back office, Harvest provides a comprehensive performance-reporting package for the wind farm highlighting technical operations and business performance. Harvest will also manage invoicing to utility off takers, resolve billing disputes and discrepancies, and coordinate all 3rd party work on the site. Harvest will also be able to manage the booking, accounting, reporting to lenders and investors, tax and audit functions necessary for successful wind farm business operations.
