The Joule Thomson Skid for Ecopetrol Cupiagua Gas Plant in Columbia is one of our most recent deliveries from our Melaka plant. KNM was entrusted the contract by Prosernat for the supply of Joule Thomson Package which consists of 10 skids, cold separator, condensate drums, 6 inlet gas/gas exchangers, 2 inlet gas/liquid exchangers, steel structures modularization, piping, fittings, valves, cables, instrument devices, conduits and instrument fittings, grounding lugs, junction boxes, etc.

Merely months into operations, our newly operated Saudi plant has todate clinched two orders from Danieli & C. S.p.A for projects in Saudi Arabia. The orders include 4 water storage tanks for New Cold Complex Mill Plant and supply of fume ducts for Hadeed New Steel Plant. The projects are expected to be completed in 2011.

OPERATIONS

We are pleased to announce that PT HEI has moved its existing operations from Batu Merah to PT KPE’s facility in Kabil Industrial Estate in Batam Island of Singapore effective 1st October 2010.

The newly completed Kabil facility occupies a larger capacity and is almost tripling the size of its former facility. The 82,000 m² plant with its ample space and deep water access provides us the capacity to grow and will significantly strengthen our ability to meet the demands to both existing and new customers.

The Batu Merah facility will be retained to cater for future workload.

We look forward to welcoming our clients to our new facility.

PT HEI - New Facility with New Image!

FBM Hudson Italiana was awarded the contract in August 2009 from CB&I for Pernis HDS6 Project in the Netherlands involving:-

■ no.1 Claus boiler package, composed of burner, mixing chamber and boiler

■ no.1 line mixing package, composed of burner and line mixing chamber

The whole design and procurement activities were executed at our Italian’s engineering center in Terno d’Isola, while the manufacturing and final tests were performed at our Jebel Ali plant in Dubai, UAE.

Successful delivery of equipment required an accurate design activity and complex project management. Both Client’s and Final User’s project specifications have been merged and used for materials’ specification, process and mechanical design details; tight coordination with sub-vendors for engineering, manufacturing and inspection was the key to the success of the project.

Global Power Industry Professionals Gathered at the Power-Gen Asia Conference & Exhibition2-4 November 2010 in Singapore

Power-Gen Asia 2010 co-located with Renewable Energy World Asia continues to deliver outstanding conference and exhibition, bringing together a cross section of experts from the power and energy industry to share trends and best practices and offer a unique platform to discuss key issues from an Asian perspective. The exhibition attracted over 6000 visitors and delegates.

BORSIG Boiler Systems, BORSIG Industrial Services and KNM Renewable Energy participated in the exhibition.

About 170 companies showcased their products, services and latest technologies at the exhibition.

Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference 13-16 September 2010 in Brazil

This leading oil and gas event took place at Riocentro Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro. The event was undoubtedly a great success as it attracted a total of about 53,000 visitors from 51 countries walking through the exhibition and conference hallways. It was a good platform for national and foreign companies to display their products and services. Similarly, the conference stands as a prominent place for networking, discussing major technological issues and promoting innovative ideas. KNM made its presence felt by having a booth at the exhibition represented by FBM Hudson Italiana, KNM Brasil Group and KPS Technology & Engineering.

International Conference and Exhibition SULPHUR 20101-4 November 2010 in Czech Republic

This year the International Conference and Exhibition SULPHUR 2010 has been held in Prague from 1st to 4th November.

Over 500 participants and 45 exhibitors have attended: delegates and exhibitors came from the oil and gas, fertilizer, mining, metallurgical chemical and equipment manufacturing industries that produce, trade or consume sulphur and sulphuric acid or provide the technology and hardware.

FBMHI had a booth at the SULPHUR 2010 and Mr. Manenti

presented a technical paper focused on critical engineering and manufacturing aspects of waste heat boilers. SULPHUR 2010 has been an important opportunity to contact clients (contractors and licensors) suppliers, and to meet with delegates from several industrial fields.

It has been also a valid opportunity to have an update and focus on O&G, chemicals and sulphur market, along with trends of relevant processes and technology.

Management Training in ChinaOn 28 October 2010, KNM Changshu organized an in-house management training program. Conducted by General Manager, Thomas Shao, a total of 23 staff comprising of general manager, managers, departmental heads, executives and supervisors attended the program.

The objectives of the training program are to raise level of awareness, show leadership, taking responsibility, improve consciousness, productivity and proactiveness, gaining confidence, time management, improve teamwork, management and communication skills.

Sports events in KNM are really looked forward to. On 23rd October 2010, KNM participated in the MOGEC Badminton Tournament 2010. The event held in KLRC Sri Rampai, Wangsa Maju in Kuala Lumpur was organized by MOGEC and Technip and was open to all MOGEC members. Companies participating included Technip, Aker Kvaerner, Ranhill, RNZ, MMC and DPS. All the participants performed really well and enjoyed the competitions. Our colleagues played with full enthusiasm. We won the second place along with a cash prize of RM1,800. Well done to everyone involved.

Congratulations to our team and we hope to see more of such participations in future.
