1. Facilities update

We are in receipt of AUSD’s response to our continued demand to install portables on our site at our sole expense. While there has been some movement, with the district's School Board moving our in-district enrollment threshold from its current 85% to 65%, they remain committed to enforcing this illegal enrollment obstacle. The CLCS Board will further deliberate on this matter this month. In addition, last month AUSD's school board voted to take legal action against CLCS for lawfully removing Jeff Cambra from its Board based on breach of confidentiality and refusing to recuse himself from closed session discussions involving direct dealings with AUSD. To date, we have received notification from the district's attorney demanding that we "cure" the situation by reinstating Jeff. This too will be discussed during this CLCS Board meeting. 2. Leadership Transition Annalisa Moore and I are meeting regularly to facilitate her transition into the Executive Director position. 3. Pilot Performance Review Surveys for Administrative Staff

With pilot performance review surveys having been gathered and reviewed with each staff person involved, we will be engaging in a discussion about ways of making the performance review process more meaningful (e.g., helpful in professional goal setting; robust information received from which each individual can learn and grow) for the coming and subsequent years.

4. From our COO

We are receiving resumes for the open positions for 2017-18, and interviews are underway. Job fair results have yielded several candidates from SFSU’s graduate

program, and we have also reached out to the search firm Carney Sandoe for resumes in a couple of hard-to-hire positions (e.g., science, math, special education).
