Hi Neighbors, I hope everyone has seen the picture of the car accident that took place on Coral Trace Blvd. This is one of the reasons the po- lice are in our development. Everyone has to slow down and obey the stop signs. The last thing we need is to have someone get hurt by a car not obeying traffic laws. The number one complaint we are getting is dog owners who do not pick up after their dogs and walking dogs on someone else's lawn or walkway. Please respect your neighbor's property, as well as the community property. If you have a retractable leash, you must control your dog, and not allow it to walk up someone's walk- way. Again, I want to remind everyone that the city will be tree trim- ming on Coral Trace Blvd. on or about May 1st. Expect delays and allow extra time to get to where you need to go. Residents have been asking about shrub replacement which was scheduled previously. It has been postponed due to drought conditions. When conditions improve, we will proceed with the shrub replacement. City News By Ava Schutzman

President’s Message, concluded

We are in the process of determining if we will be installing lights by the pool. The money was set aside a few years ago so now we will deter-mine if we will install them. We would appreciate hearing from you with feedback on this item. The next board meeting will be May 16th at 7PM.

On July 4th, the HOA will be hosting a barbe-cue for all residents. Everyone is invited free of charge.

Respectfully,

Eric Motto

CONGRATULATIONS, ANTONIO FLORES!

Bob Loperfido, our property manager, told us the happy news that our maintenance man, Antonio Flo-res, has won the Seacrest Services Employee of the Month Award! Please congratulate Antonio when you see him—as you know this award is well-deserved! We here in Coral Trace are very grateful to have him working on our behalf.

Dave Rosenbleeth and his wife Karon Clark, 2521 North Coral Trace Circle, are probably familiar faces to many of you. They are original Coral Trace residents, since pur-chasing their home on Valentine’s Day, 2003. And, for most of the years since then, they have volun-teered their time to make our neighborhood a better place. Dave has served as Chairperson and a participant on our Landscaping Committee, and has also served on ad hoc Budget Committees. Dave owns and operates a small business making commercial cabinets. Last year, Dave donated the countertops in the Clubhouse Social Room and bath-rooms. Karon Clark is a realtor with Coldwell Banker. Karon has also taken part in several MS and Breast Cancer walks in Boca Raton, in addition to her work for Habi-tat for Humanity. Now, Dave has a new interest which relates to riding a bicycle after more years than he cares to remem-ber. He has always made donations to support a friend’s bike ride for multiple sclerosis fundraising. This year, he and Karon will be serving as assistants to, and patrolling the route for, the participants in the FL MS Ride from Homestead to Key Largo and back—a 150-mile round trip. They also making a financial contribution to back a friend who is riding. Some of you may remember Mark and Sue Vernam, who also were original residents of, and served the community of Coral Trace. Mark was a very kind man who served on the Welcoming Committee among other roles here in Coral Trace. Mark suc-cumbed to MS in Sept. 2006 after battling it bravely for over 3 years. Sue Vernam still lives in Coral Trace. Dave’s South Florida MS Ride is May 15th, and he has a personal goal to raise $1000 before that date. If you would like to contribute to this cause, please visit his website to donate. Any amount is appreci-ated. Click on this link to visit Dave’s website. Advances are being made in MS research slowly but steadily. Dave reports that recently the Scripps Clinic announced some progress in an effort to stop the development of MS in mice. More research is obvi-ously required before realizing the benefits of this research in humans.
