Campus Goals

All student populations in grades 5-6 will meet or exceed the 65% requirement on STAAR in ALL

content areas.

Collins Intermediate will increase the percentage of growth to 70% in all sub-populations.

Teachers

Will present students each week with an opportunity to think and write at higher levels through constructed responses & will use grading procedures that encourage/reinforce fundamental ELAR skills.

Will conduct Parent Nights throughout the year which will provide parents with tips & online resources to increase Literacy and Mathematics achievement.

Will send home a list of math facts students are expected to know in order to increase academic achievement.

Using data, teachers will identify students @risk for not meeting academic goals & will recommend/conduct academic interventions.

Will practice math facts that were sent home with their children and strive to make real word math concept connections.

Will ensure child’s participation in recommended academic interventions.
