Here are some commons reasons why individuals quit their work. 1. Employees do not feel appreciated . Some companies overlook the importance of making their workers feel appreciate. They have this notion that workers should feel grateful that they have jobs. In this economy, finding work is not easy. There are a lot of unemployed individuals hunting for jobs. Some companies think that employees can easily be replaced. Carlo used to work for an ad agency company. He resigned from his job because he felt under appreciated by his boss. His boss never acknowledged his hard work. For instance, Carlo does not remember his boss praising him for pitching great ideas even though most of his ideas earned positive remarks from clients. His boss was quick to notice his shortcomings but turned a blind eye to his efforts. Carlo’s morale went down and eventually affected his work. His boss admonished him for his lackluster performance until it came to a point that Carlo couldn’t take it anymore. He quit his job at the ad agency. What to do? Employees feel that there is lack of career advancement . Workers driven by ambition seek a working environment where they can grow and develop. Lack of career opportunities may make employees feel stuck at their current positions. In this kind of atmosphere, dissatisfaction can easily be triggered and prompt workers to quit their jobs and look for another company where there is a chance of being promoted.
