important commercial area in town.
Its facade looks at the building of the Old Hospice of Oviedo, an artistic historical monument of the city. The
chapel of the complex was designed by an architect from Madrid, Ventura Rodriguez, who gives name to the
street where the commercial premise is located.
Since 1972 this building has hostes a five star hotel called Hotel de la Reconquista. It is one of the main head-
quarters of the Prince of Asturias Awards because here they hold the official receptions, press zone, ratings,
etc.
