TEWhat is a Makerspace?
A makerspace is an inclusive, collaborative community, inspired by creativity and innovation, where people with unique ideas use tools to build projects, start companies and make their dreams come true.
• Open to all makers, crafters and learners such as artists, machinists, entrepreneurs, engineers, welders, seamstresses, coders and designers. • It is a safe place to explore, discover and fail while finding solutions to real world challenges.
As part of the worldwide Maker Movement, Sierra College is integrating making into education. Sierra College Makerspaces is funded, in part, by the statewide CCC Maker Initiative.
COME CREATE WITH US
Funding provided by Innovation Maker 3 (CCC Maker) grant # 16-203-001, awarded by the California Community College Chancellor's Office, Workforce and Economic Development Division, to Sierra Joint Community College District.
