2017 Graduate Dean’s List of University Scholars and Artists ~ CSULB’s recognition of its most outstanding graduate students ~

NOMINATIONS DUE TO DEPARTMENT: Monday, March 20, 2017 The top 1% of CNSM graduate students (up to 4 students) pursuing a graduate degree may be named to the

Graduate Dean’s List of University Scholars and Artists. CRITERIA:

• A nominee for the 2017 Graduate Dean’s List must complete all degree requirements and be receiving a diploma dated December 2017, January 2017, May 2017, or August 2017.

• Show evidence of truly distinguished academic achievement in her/his chosen field. • Recommended 3.5 GPA or higher. • Submit a current curriculum vitae including some or all of the following:

o Superior research, scholarly or creative activities associated with graduate study on this campus. o Publications, papers presented at professional meetings, or demonstration projects in the

professional field. o Academic and professional awards, scholarships, grants, honors, or prizes. o Contributions to the University and community at large. o Other evidence deemed noteworthy.

• Students are requested to be available to attend the commencement ceremony to be recognized.

Directions: Complete this nomination form, attach a current CV, three academic letters of recommendation, current unofficial transcript from MyCSULB, and return it to the department chair of your major by Monday, March 20, 2017. Departments: Forward nomination packets to Margaret Karteron in the Dean’s Office by Friday, March 24, 2017. Ranking is not required. The College Deans will forward up to 4 nominees to the Graduate Dean’s Office by April 4, 2017.
