This agrarian holiday farm is situated in Casal Velino, in the province of Salerno. It is

located in the Cilento and only 1 km from the sea of Casal Velino Marina away.

The Cilento is known for being the territory of ancient myths and of touching landscapes.

This holiday farm is runned by the family Crescenzo. They offer their guests the possibility

to experience rural life, to get in contact with nature and to savour the typical cuisine of

the Cilento. Before beeing an rural holiday accommodation, it has been only a farm, which

has been established more than half a century ago. Their goat farming enables them to

produce an excellent Cacioricotta goat cheese, which has been awarded by Slow Food as

Presidio. Another slow food, produced by them are the “olive ammaccate Salella”.

The holiday farm “Villa dei Papiri”, located 5 kms away from Syracuse, is an old Sicilian house dating back to the 19th century. It dominates a 13 hectares area rich in plantations of lemons and oranges and surrounded by egyptian papyri.It can accommodate up to 55 people and it is divided into a central villa with eight large and independent family suites, and three annexes called “Dependances” a few steps away with 16 comfortable double rooms.

Sicily

elegant flats inside the farm, and two chic independent cottages in the gardens. This,

Shopping: the near village of San pietro in Palazzi can be reached in a few minutes. Cecina

is a good shopping centre. on Tuesdays there is the weekly market in Cecina, where you

can find fruits, vegetables, cheese and typical food. ConAd supermarket is always open

from Monday to Sunday, with non-stop shopping from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cecina is close

to the superstrada SgC FiPi-Li, and also enjoys railway and sea connections to the town.

Firenze (100 kms), Isola d’Elba (40 kms), Siena (70 kms), Pisa (50 kms), Lucca (60

kms), Volterra (30 kms), San gemignano (50 kms), Bolgheri (10 kms) are all within easy

travelling distance. Bolgheri is well known for its long cypress road and for the production

of famous wines, Sassicaia and ornellaia, famous all over the world.

The Podere la Piana farm holiday centre is in Lunigiana, an area of Tuscany bordering

on Liguria and Emilia Romagna. It covers about 30 hectares, much of it being taken

up by Turkey oak woodland and the rest consisting of vineyards, olive groves, orchards,

vegetable plots and herb beds farmed using certified organic methods.

It has also adopted the biodynamic farming method, which abides by the rules laid down

by philosopher Rudolf Steiner, founder of the anthroposophic movement, which saw an
