PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Parents and Students,
The upcoming cooler air signals the arrival of fall and the approaching holiday season. I always find
this time of year to be very exciting at school. I am amazed at how fast the first nine weeks went and we are full steam ahead into the second nine weeks. It is always important to stay up to date on Edsby. There will be many events taking place in the next 45 days, so mark your calendars.
Thank you to our Dad's Club, who had a very successful Attendance Cookout (10/6) serving the homerooms with the highest attendance for September. See you again on November 3rd.
Congratulations to Ms. Anderson, who was chosen as Coleman's Teacher of the Year for 2016-2017 and also to Mrs. Caroline Fernandez, who was chosen as Coleman's Ida Baker recipient for 2016-2017. Well deserved!
Yours in Education,
Mike
Hoskinson

importance of community service and getting two teacher recommendations. We are very proud of the 119 8th graders who were accepted to the Beta Club this year!

FACULTY HONOR ROLL
Hello and welcome to the 2016/17 school year from the FACULTY HONOR ROLL Committee!
The Faculty Honor Roll Program allows Coleman families to recognize the dedicated teachers, administrators, staff members, coaches and counselors who work with our students on a daily basis. If your family has made a donation this year to the Coleman Family and/or Coleman Business Sponsorship Campaign in any amount, you can designate the faculty member(s) you would like to honor with this award. They will receive a handwritten note from the committee with your personal message, delivered with a special treat. The awards are distributed at least 3 times throughout the school year - you may send as many notes as you would like, as many times as you would like! Communication will be sent to those who are eligible to participate in this special benefit and will include information about submissions and deadlines to be included in selected delivery dates.
What a great way to let our faculty know they are making a difference in your child's success at Coleman this year!
