GRADE 11 STUDENTS

Program History

Successful completion of the

program will earn 4 credits towards

the Dogwood Diploma.

This is required for graduation!

What will students do in this course?

Through ongoing cycles of exploring, planning, reflecting, and adapting, they will begin to make some career-life decisions

This year they will attend at least five CLC sessions during the school day, each one of which leads to a take-home major assignment.

Most of the sessions also have an in-class assignment.

What is this course building towards?

CLC 12 Capstone

Project/Presentation

(near the end of grade 12)

So what is a Capstone Project?

The Capstone Project is what students will present at the end of their journey; it is synthesis (a combination of ideas which forms a theory) resulting from critical analysis of their career-life learning journey.

The projects will be presented to several members of the community during a student-led presentation

More about the major assignments

These assignments have specific due dates.

These assignments all have a myBlueprintrequirement.

If students need help: see Ms. Larisch/Ms. Jackson in the Gen Lab during Collaboration

Assignments can be found in the Career Centre or on the CHSS website under the Students drop down menu and choose CLC.
