Dynamic Receiver• Dynamic Receiver

– Optimizing refrigerant charge via subcooling control in each operating mode and water/ambient air temperatures conditions Key to improve efficiency at any part load or full load operation

– Subcooling optimization algorithm based on refrigerant mass flow, ambient air temperature, leaving water temperatures, compressor pressure ratio etc...

– One on each refrigerant circuit • Dynamic Receiver – Key Benefits

– Heating mode: Leaving hot water up to +68°C– Heat pump mode: Ambient air down to -18°C with +44°C leaving hot water – Cooling mode: Maximum ambient air +3°C vs CXAF and up to +52°C – Warmer gas temperature for faster defrosting– Best efficiency in all three different Operating modes

Symbio 800 – User Arbitration Choices

• OFF• Cooling only: Unit operates as an air-cooled chiller • Heating only: Unit operates as an air-sourced heat pump (pure heating only,

not reversible)• AUTO-cool: Unit is driven by cooling capacity demand and can run in

recovery mode if heating demand is present • AUTO-heat: Unit is driven by heating capacity demand and can run in

recovery mode if cooling demand is present • AUTO-recovery: Unit is driven by highest capacity demand

Maximizes recovery in case the opposite demand is present • AUTO-max. capacity: Unit driven by highest capacity demand.

Applications where heating & cooling capacity are both critical but not at same time.

End-user will define which arbitration is preferred. SymbioTM 800 will maximize heat recovery without over-producing capacity
