    THANK YOU

    I don't have a question. It's more of

a thank you. I was on my way to visit

my dad in the south suburbs of

Chicago. I stopped for gas and my

bike died. I think he said his name

was Ken Berger. He jumped my bikeand blew a fuse in the process. I just

wanted to extend my gratitude to

him again and this is the only way to

    possibly do it. Thank you!

ew Years Greetings! 2013 has passed and 2014 has begun. It

seems like only a couple of months ago we were ushering in2013. It was a great year and I would like to say thank you to our

faithful readers. We are very grateful for the supporters we have.

Thank you too, to the members who submitted articles and other

items for publication. We look forward to receiving your submissions

    in 2014!

What does the New Year mean to you? Do you make resolutions

and goals? Last year, one of my goals was to spend more time with

the Lord and with my family. I can say that I succeeded in my goal,

but I still could have done more. My resolution this year is to go

above and beyond what I did last year. I pray to devote spending

more alone time with our Heavenly Father and to spend more quality

time with my family. Time passes by so quickly and we have to deliberately choose to make time to do the things important to us.

We pray blessings upon each of

you in this New Year. We pray God

draws you nearer to Him and your

family, and we pray you have new

    adventures serving our Lord within

    CMA!

    January2014

s we closed out 2013 and moved into

2014, I spent much time in prayer in

fasting regarding what God would have for

us as we move forward. God reminded me

about what He said He would do in this

decade:1. Increased Anointing. We will see and experience a

growth in the power of God throughout the min

istry. Gods anointing will increase and we will expe

rience the miraculous power of God in every part ofthe ministry both in the USA and internationally.

    2. Increased Visibility. Gods influence through CMA

will increase and we will become more visible in the

    Christian community.

    3. Ministry Pace. The pace and speed of the ministry

will increase and we must be ready to tear down the

walls and pull together nationally and international

ly as we never have before.

    4. Financial Growth. Finances to accomplish Gods

    purposes will increase.

I am specifically hearing the voice of the Lord saying,

Refresh and renew your understanding and commit

ments to the basics of the Gospel. As we move into 2014,

we are committed to focus on the basics of Scripture: the

blood of Jesus, repentance, the work of the Holy Spirit,

and the second coming of Christ. Please help me pray as

we seek the leading of the Holy Spirit in these areas.

There are two key scriptures which will guide us as we

    focus on the basics:

First, John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He

gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him

should not perish but have everlasting life. This is the

foundation and the reason that Jesus shed His blood on

the cross. It portrays the love of God for His creation, you

and me, and the love that Jesus has by being willing to be

a sacrifice for our sins. The blood of Jesus is the key theme

    of the Bible.

Second, John 10:10, The thief does not come except to

steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may

have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

This gives us a clear picture of satans will and destiny for

us, but in the last part, it points us back to our Lord and

Savior, Jesus Christ, and the abundant life that we have in

    Him.

I would like to challenge you, as we challenge our lead

ership teams, to make going back to the basics center in

your study for 2014. I have reviewed the ministry statis

tics within CMA, and while there have been some ups and

downs, overall, we have seen a very positive growth. I can

only conclude that through your dedication and the bless

ings of God, He has continued to manifest Himself through

this ministry to prepare us for this decade and this year in

particular. Just as we saw one of the greatest intensities in

the move and power of God in our 2013 Changing of theColors Rally, I believe this is an example of what we will

see throughout 2014 with an even stronger power and

    presence of God.

Prayer is key to accessing the wisdom and will of God.

One of the reasons we are experiencing the increase of

Gods power is because of the number of people in CMA

that are praying and believing God for the impossible. I

am pleased with the emphasis that is placed on prayer by

our people, chapters, states, and regions who are all com

ing together to seek the face of God. In addition, I am

pleased with our international prayer team who lifts up

every leader in every CMA International nation by name

on a daily basis. You are truly making a difference.

As I travel across the United States and around the

world, there are countless people who come up to me

and say, I am praying for you. It is because of people

like you, with that spirit, that God is moving in the min

    istry of CMA. I am

    very excited to

    see and experi

    ence what God

    has already

    started and will

    continue to do

    through the ministry. You are

    truly changing

    the world, one

    heart at a time.

our times each year CMA chapters

    gather information to include in

    their Quarterly Reports. Often sal

vations and recommitments are easy toremember because they stand out in

our memory and they are very impor

tant to further the growth of Gods

Kingdom. Then there is the last catego

ry, Other Ministries. These are often

the hardest to account for, but they are

also very important in the ministry of

CMA. Below are three areas that may

    help chapters encourage its members

    regarding other ministries.

How Do Other Ministries Help Us

Personally Grow?God expands our ministry when we

reflect on what He has done for His

glory. As we become more aware of

what God has put in our path we tend to

seek more opportunities and He is faith

ful to provide them. These ministries

strengthen our prayer life as we ask for

them and as we lift up the needs of

those we minister to. We may develop a

new boldness to share the love and

comfort that Jesus offers. Our time and

understanding in Gods Word increasesas we seek to find scripture to share

    with others. Other Ministries increase

our personal testimony that can be an

    encouragement to others. Other

Ministries help those who do not under

stand what the CMA Ministry is.

    Through our testimony of Other

    Ministries, other CMAers are encour

aged to produce fruit, for multiplying

    the outreach.

    Ideas For Tracking Other Ministries

    During The Quarter.

    Consider purchasing a small pocket

calendar and each day record the number of ministries God used you for. Use

your Google Calendar on your iPhone or

other electronic device. Put a coin in a

jar at home for every Other Ministry

each day, count the number of coins at

the end of the quarter, then add them up

and send them in for RFS. Develop a

clipboard spreadsheet or note pad at

    home. Establish a Ministry Partner

(another CMAer) and send them a text

for each ministry. The partner tracks

    yours and you track theirs.

    How Other Ministries Impact CMA.

They help the Support Center devel

op graphs that identify areas of growth

or areas in need of improvement. They

    help Chapter Officers develop effective

Chapter Leadership. Theyre used as a

critical information tool for the CMA

Board of Directors in planning the

growth of CMA and seeking Gods will.

This glorifies God as we confirm the

impact of the ministry for the Kingdom

of God through the members of CMA.And this motivates other CMA members

    to seek opportunities for ministry.

These are just a few examples of

what Other Ministries are; Calling to

    encourage someone; Explaining the

Back Patch we wear; Testifying to Gods

    greatness; Bringing someone a meal;

Sharing Jesus with someone; Visiting a

shut in; Visiting someone in the

Hospital; Sending a card or note of

    encouragement to someone; Praying

with or for someone. Other Ministries

are really anything where we minister

to someone and it should define who weare in Christ. These quarterly numbers

can really change the world and

    increase our ministry effectiveness.

    Evangelist Article

n Matthew 13:2429 we have the

parable of the farmer who planted

good seed and when he was not

looking, the enemy came in to plant

weeds. As the plants began to grow,

    the workers questioned the farmer

about pulling out the weeds. The

farmer was adamant that the weeds

    not be pulled up.

    He allowed the

    weeds to grow,

    even though theytook nutrients

    from the ground

    that his plants

    needed to grow.

He allowed the weeds to grow, even

though they crowded and pressed in

on the plants he cared for. He knew

that to pull the weeds would cause

more damage than good, so his

plants had to endure and press in for

what they needed to grow despite

the fact that the conditions were notideal. Gods best for us is not always

    what is most comfortable.

As parents, we have a unique per

    spective on our childrens lives.

    Especially while they are younger,

we can see attitudes, behaviors, and

actions that will cause them trouble

down the road. We then have the

    opportunity to set boundaries to

    make the child uncomfortable

enough to realize that those things

do not belong in their lives and

change their course. God sees theoverall picture of our lives. He sees

    the conditions necessary for our

growth. He may put boundaries on

our lives that make us uncomfort

able, that we do not understand, in

order to highlight areas of our lives

that need a change. At that point, we

have the choice to press in and

endure growth, or rebel and stay in a

    position of stunted growth.

The enemy also has a plot against

us to stunt our growth and with that,

    situations and challenges are placed

in our lives that God allows us to

endure, for to remove them would

cause more harm to us than good,

and He is a good and loving father.

He sees these situations that drain

our energy and resources, and places

    help along the

    way. We, just like

    the plants, have to

choose to press inthrough the dis

    comfort to find

    what we need in

    God.

We can look at many key figures

listed in the Bible and realize that

their lives were not comfortable. God

has not called us to comfort. He has

called us to love and obedience.

What pleases the Lord more: burnt

    offerings and sacrifices or obedience

to his voce? It is better to obey thanto sacrifice. It is better to listen to

God than to offer the fat of sheep (1

    Samuel 15:22, NCV).

With Jonah, it was not comfort

able for God to call him to Nineveh.

When he walked in disobedience, he

became fish food. God could see the

big picture of a nation that needed

restoration and was willing to put

    extremely uncomfortable bound

aries on Jonah to bring about what

    was best for this nation.

Moses grew up in comfort andended up spending forty years in the

desert. This was not what he was

used to, but could it be possible that

God was teaching him about desert

life, preparing him for what was

about to come when he would lead a

    rebellious nation to freedom? After

setting his people free, he had the

    continued uncomfortable task of

spending the next forty years being

rejected by the people God had called

him to set free. None of this was com

fortable for Moses, yet he pressed in

to God and saw Gods best come

about as he glimpsed the Promised

    Land.

There are many other examples of

men and women in the Bible who

were asked to do or walk through

    uncomfortable things. Those who

succeeded were marked by a life of

    pressing in with obedience through

the uncomfortable situations. Thosewho failed chose not to press in and

    sought their own paths. As

Christians, we are not called to com

fort and holy huddles. We are called

to go into the very pits of hell to bring

Good News to the poor, set the cap

tives free, give sight to the blind, and

proclaim the second coming of our

Lord (see Luke 4:18,19). We are

called to a life of obedience to the one

    we call Savior.

We have to get to a point wherewe say, God, I do not understand

what is happening here, but I trust

You. I trust that You see the big pic

ture. I trust that You see what is best.

I want Your best no matter how

    uncomfortable that makes me. Are

you willing to press in today despite

    the discomfort? CMA

ou just never know how and

when or where God is going to

use you. But, as long as you

make yourself available, He will useyou.

I spent two days helping out in the

    Reno Chapters booth at Street

Vibrations. We spent a lot of time

handing out Ragg Tracts to passers

bys. Over the weekend, they passed

    out 5,000 Ragg Tracts! Occasionally,

we would be able to engage in conver

sation with people as we gave them a

tract. I talked with friends I knew

    from Auburn, several people who

were interested in CMA in their homearea, Christians and nonChristians,

    old bikers and new.

Special blessings were felt from lis

tening to those people whose lives

had been touched by a CMAer some

where. Whether it was coffee at a rest

stop on the way to Sturgis, or a hospi

tal visit, or prayer at a rally, it was

great to hear that CMA members areout there touching lives.

I had an encounter on my first day

there that made my day! It made my

    weekend!

I was handing out Ragg Tracts

when a gentleman who took a tract

and kept on walking, turned around

and came back to talk to me. He said,

I want you to know right up front

    that Im an atheist.

    Okay . . ., I said.

He continued, I respect that youguys believe what you do and are out

    here because of that.

    Okay...

    My 12year old granddaughter is

going through chemo. In fact, her

grandmother just brought her home a

few minutes ago from a chemo treat

ment. I just wanted you guys to know

so you can do what you do.Being an atheist, he couldnt

come right out and ask us to pray. I

got a prayer request form and asked

him her name and wrote it down so

that he could see I was serious and

cared. He thanked me and went on his

way and the four of us in the booth

stopped and prayed for her and for

him. I didnt get his name, but the

Lord knows who he is and the Holy

Spirit is working on his heart.

When were out there, God willuse us and the Holy Spirit will touch

lives ...one heart at a time. CMA

    Evangelist Article

ell, a New Year is beginning

    and along with that come

    many celebrations and tradi

tions. One of these areas and one that I

would like to touch on is the time hon

    ored New Years Resolution.

    I feel quite

    confident in stat

    ing that there are

    numerous folks

    who have made

    New Years resolutions. Along

    with that Ive

    often wondered

if anyone ever takes these resolutions

seriously or not. So, if you will allow

me to explore this subject just a little,

Ill start with a few questions. Is a

    New Years resolution something

that we do just for the fun of it or

maybe because it is part of an expect

ed tradition? Should we look at these

resolutions as a time to make somechanges in our lives? Do we even

    know what a resolution is?

Just to get us all on the same page I

looked up the definition of resolution

and this is what I found: Resolution- a

firm decision to do or not to do some-

thing. Some synonyms listed in the

    definition were these words intention,

resolve, decision, intent, aim, and plan.

This definition really gives us a greater

    understanding of just how powerful

this resolution thing can be. Im not

here to steal the fun away from the celebration or tradition side, but perhaps

we could look at a New Years

Resolution as a real opportunity to

make some needed decisions in our

    lives.

Usually when we decide to do or not

    do something there is change involved;

whether it is in what we do, how we do

it, how much effort we put forth, and

the importance or priority we give it in

our lives. Most folks do not like the

word change because it sort of ruffles

the feathers, so to keep us all happy

this New Year lets substitute the word

    improvement instead. Since we are

making a few changes, lets drop New

Year from the equation as we contin

    ue.

    There are peo

    ple who never

    make any resolu

    tions because they

    have no plans to

    make anyimprovements;

    they are content

    right where they

are. There are some who will make

resolutions that they never intend to

follow through with because it is all

just for show. There are others who

really want to make some improve

ments in their lives but the fear of fail

ing keeps them from making any reso

lutions to improve. Then, there are

those who not only make resolutionsto improve but who give their all to

    succeed.

Can we agree that this life we live is

full of challenges and opportunities? As

Christians isnt this all the more true

for us, after all arent we to be living

examples of Jesus to the world? And, if

you are anything like me, Im certain

there are improvements that can be

made to your life in some area.

Would you take a few moments to

examine where you are in your life?

Perhaps there is an area or two whereyou would like to make some personal

    improvements. More importantly, is

there some area in your life that you

    could improve upon that would

    strengthen your Christian walk and

also have a greater impact on growing

Gods Kingdom? Some things that come

to mind might be; more time in Gods

word and prayer, more loving and for

    giving to others, more compassionate

to the hurting, more generous with my

riches, more kingdom minded, or to

share Jesus with more boldness and

zeal than ever before. Right now, ask

God to help you identify your list of

    improvement items and then commit

to making the changes with His help

and leading. Simply put, you cant do

    any better than that!

    This New Year, make some

    Improvements that will impact your

life and those around you for Christ!

life filled with faith is the goal.

But what does that look like? Is

    there a snapshot from the

Scripture of a person who was full of

faith? If there is, what can we learn from

it? Check out Matthew 8:513 (NLT) to

see a portrait of man of great faith, so

great in fact, Jesus said He very rarely

    saw anything like it.

    When Jesus returned to Capernaum,

a Roman officer came and pleaded with

him, 6 Lord, my young servant lies in

bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.7 Jesus said, I will come and heal him.8 But the officer said, Lord, I am not

worthy to have you come into my home.Just say the word from where you are,

and my servant will be healed. 9 I know

this because I am under the authority of

my superior officers, and I have author

ity over my soldiers. I only need to say,

Go, and they go, or Come, and they

come. And if I say to my slaves, Do this,

they do it.10 When Jesus heard this, he was

amazed. Turning to those who were fol

lowing him, he said, I tell you the truth,

I havent seen faith like this in all Israel!11And I tell you this, that many Gentiles

will come from all over the worldfrom

east and westand sit down with

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in

the Kingdom of Heaven. 12 But many

    Israelitesthose for whom the Kingdom

was preparedwill be thrown into outer

darkness, where there will be weeping

and gnashing of teeth.13 Then Jesus said to the Roman offi

cer, Go back home. Because you believed,

it has happened. And the young servant

    was healed that same hour.

This Roman soldier had a problem:

his servant was lying in bed, in pain, at

the point of death. But in addition to his

problem, he also had a strong belief in

Jesus. Perhaps he had heard the news

from the area about all of the healings

Jesus had been performing. Maybe he

was in the crowd when Jesus healed the

people with skin diseases or when Jesus

healed the paralyzed. However he came

to possess it, at this time in his life, this

officer in the Roman army had faith that

Jesus could do the supernatural and this

is what drove him to come to Jesus witha request.

He informs Jesus of his servant and

the situation. Jesus quickly offers to

come to the house and heal the suffering

servant. But the Roman army officer

quickly refuses. He explains to Jesus

    how he thinks it should

    work. As a command

    ing officer, this man

    knew what it was like

    to have soldiers who

would obey his commands quickly and

    thoroughly. He knew

    what it was like to

    have the power to

    make things happen

    through other people

    without having to

actually be present to do it. He knew

that a word from a commander would

be all it would take to get the job done.

And this is what he asks of Jesus.

This Roman Centurion is a portrait of

a man full of faith. He is a picture of

someone who truly believes Jesus is

able to do what He says He can do. He

trusts Christ and His abilities. If Jesus

says something, it is as good as done.

This is strong faith; this is a heart full of

faith in Christ. Jesus recognized it too

and He commented, I havent seen faith

like this in all Israel! (Matthew 8:10b,

    NLT).

In response to this full of faith

approach, Jesus spoke the word and

the young servant was healed. Faith

like this is hard to come by. You dont

see it every day. If our young lives aregoing to be full of faith they will shine

like candles in a dark room. But this is

the life Jesus is calling us to: becoming

young people full of faith. Our lives

filled to the brim with confidence in the

power of God. Convinced God hears our

    prayers, works mira

    cles on our behalf

    and changes entire

    situations when we

    ask. Faith like this is

rare in the world ofstudents today; but it

    shouldnt be. Choose

    today to believe

    instead of doubt.

    Choose to rest your

    confidence on the

    power and love of

God rather than anything you might

see with your eyes or hear with your

ears. Let your life become full of faith.

    RFS Network

e did this last month as a RFS Fundraiser andraised over $200.00 in one evening. Here is how

it worked. We gave out tickets for a $10.00 donation. That coveredthe meal and drinks. We made it clear that it did notinclude tips. Tips were to be based on the service theyreceived.

We told our guys we wanted to do this to show ourappreciation for being so good to us and always helping usladies with our bikes, but we wanted to make it a RFSfundraiser. So, yes we were cooking for them, but theywould be expected to pay for their ticket and invite theirfriends.

We all had a lot of fun!! We even told them we wouldput on aprons and wear beads like Mrs. Cleaver.

The Menu consisted of Chicken Fried Steak, mashedpotatoes, baked beans, green beans, corn, and homemaderolls. Dessert consisted of homemade peach cobbler, applecrisps, and sour cream raisin pie. We served sweet andunsweet tea.

Everyone met at a local church and the guys all left on aride (were gone approx 1 1/2 hours) to do their usual Rideto Eat thing. Meanwhile us gals put on the cutesy aprons

and set up what we called the "SalvationRider Sweetheart Diner."

We prepared the chicken fried steakand rolls onsite, everything else wascooked at home.

When the guys arrived back from theirride, each girl served 34 guys but you

were not allowed to serve your own husband. We took their orders, served themtheir food, kept their tea glasses full, andtreated them like kings. Service with asmile!!

The guys all left tips which us girls puttogether and then split for RFS credit.

The only expense would have been the purchase of the meat for the chicken fried steak but someonein our chapter donated that.

The dessert maker actually baked too many peach cobblers so after everyone was served and could not eatanother bite we auctioned off the 3 other 9x9 pans of

Peach Cobblers and made an additional $37.00.It was a great time of fellowship for the guys and we

girls had a blast as well. We decorated the centerpiece ofthe tables with motorcycle trophies and bike memorabilia. We had great fun playing the role of Mrs. Cleaver fromLeave it to Beaver" even if it was only for a few hours.

Some of our guys invited their friends from work. Theygot to see our ladies serving our guys and the love andlaughter that surrounded the table and evening. Onefriend of Macs from work doesn't ride but brought his dadand has already said he is planning to come to our chilicookoff/gun range day in Feb. So I guess he really enjoyed

it. We raised money for RFS, we had a lot of fun, we wereable to show the love of Christ to others by serving, and wemade lots of great memories. CMA

    Member Article

hen was the last time youtold a stranger you lovedthem? Not that Christ loves

them but that you love themacomplete stranger. Not only am I aCMA member (Central New YorkSonrise Riders) I am also a volunteerparamedic and am fortunate to meetstrangers on every call for help thatmy ambulance receives. But as a professional I am trained to tend to theirwound or illness, do it with kindnessand diligent care, and then handthem over to the doctors at theEmergency Department when theride is through. I would never beunprofessional enough to tell apatient that I loved themexcept forone very special occasion whichtaught me a life lesson I will carrywith me the rest of my life.

Many EMS calls are very routineand not life threatening, even mostcar accidents. On one particularly

cold and snowy November night mycrew received a call for a vehicle offthe road with potential injuries totwo individuals. I will never forgetwhat I saw when we approached thescene. The car was indeed off theroad but inside there were a fatherand son fighting each other, physically throwing punches at one another.Although I had seen many strangethings in 25 year EMS career this was

a first. Obviously we were unable toget near the patients while they werefighting because the first rule is toalways ensure your own and yourcrews safety.

But then the situation becameeven more bizarre. The StateTrooper on scene gave me (and somehusky firemen) permission to dragboth patients, who were still fighting, out of the car to get them separatedfrom one another. Thankfully wewere successful, without incurringany injuries ourselves, and quicklystrapped the younger of the two mento the stretcher, so he couldnt take aswing at any of us care givers, whichhe was attempting to do. As we werecarrying him from the ditch, wherehis quite dented car remained, I wasnearest his head and listened to thefoul words of anger he had towardshis father, towards all of us, andtowards life in general. I made a typ

ical comment paramedics make topatients at times like this you aregoing to be OK to which he repliedwhy do you even care? And then Iwill never forget what came out ofmy mouth. I said because I loveyou.

I cannot take credit for utteringthese words because this is notsomething I would say as a professional paramedic and especially not

to someone that is swearing at meand wishing me harm. I think I wasas shocked at saying this as he washearing it but immediately his angerand hostility ceased and his tonechanged and we began to talk and Iwas able to be his care giver on theroad to the emergency room. I creditthe Holy Spirit for using my voice toshare a special message.

I learned one of the biggest lessons of my life that night. I have a giftto give others, even to strangers; Ican offer them light in their darkness, hope in their desperation, and ajoy they may have never experiencedbeforelove.

When God wants someone toknow that they are loved he will useyou to do itifyou are willing to setaside your professionalism, yourpride, your fear or whatever standsin your way of telling a stranger thatyou love them...yes you. There are

many situations that cause people toseem unlovable but you must get upclose and SEE the person and not thesituation, then youll be able to openyour heart so God can use it to showHis love through your love. Mypatients now receive more thanemergency medical care; they nowknow they are loved. CMA
