Cable is designed for use within telephone exchanges, commercial switchboards and interconnecting wiring systems. These cables have been upgraded to Category 3, 100Ω balanced, suitable for Local Area Network (LAN) network cabling (Up to 16 MHz). CABLE DESCRIPTION

The cable consists of a number of 900m tight buffered optical fibres reinforced with aramid yarns and sheathed with NHFR (flame retardant, low smoke generation, low toxic gas emission and zero halogen) compound. For Local Area Networks (LAN) applications including Fibre Distribution Data Interface (FDDI). Cable is suitable for indoor/outdoor use.

CABLE DESCRIPTION

Zipcord consists of two tight buffered optical fibres individually reinforced with aramid yarns and covered with a continuous uniform PVC sheath in figure 8 formation. The sheath is designed to provide easy separation into single fibre cords. The range is compatible with most optical fibre connectors used within Local Area Network applications including Ethernet, Token Ring and FDDI.

Cords are stranded with two solid PVC fillers (four fibre cable only) around a PVC coated aramid yarn central member and the cable is overall sheathed with flame retardant PVC. Cable is suitable for applications in local area network (LAN) including FDDI cabling, Ethernet and Token Ring.
