CHALLENGE ASSUMPTIONS
CHANGE BEHAVIOUR
clipper-events.com
As corporate days go this has been the best
by far. We discovered a new appreciation for
the amount of team work required to sail a boat
of that size. We thoroughly enjoyed every
minute, absolutely fantastic!
Ocean Safety
Our famous Clipper Round the
World Yacht Race fleet is capable
of hosting between eight and 240
guests at any one time and has
become increasingly popular for
corporations who acknowledge
the synergies between success in
the boardroom and success on the
water and look to stand out from the
competition by offering stakeholders
more than the average team
building experience.
Sailing may be the theme but
developing relationships, business
opportunities and executive talent
is at the heart of what we do.
As a corporate team building
experience, big boat sailing is
not only a thrilling prospect for
participants, it also cultivates team
bonds and collective performance
skills to meet business objectives
back in the office.
Hosting a company-wide regatta
can bring together clients and
employees whilst adding a
competitive edge to the day.
The premier provider of sailing hospitality, team development days and fleet racing, Clipper Events stands out from the crowd.

OUTCOMES
Am I more effective in business because of this? Yes definitely. The simple reality
is when you have a relationship with someone things happen more effectively and
efficiently and with a growing network after each event, this efficiency increases
year on year. Not just for myself but for each participant on board each yacht.

INSPIRING CHALLENGING REWARDING
11
On racing yachts things happen quickly and the environment constantly changes. Adapting as a cohesive team is vital to stay competitive.
Challenge preconceived ideas and
roles throughout the team building
process. Building trust, loyalty, effective
communication and leadership are
essential for our yacht’s performance.
TEAM BUILDINGCOMMUNICATION
As a team you’ll need clear and concise
communication to get the best out of these yachts
and ensure smooth sailing.
COOPERATION
With such large sails to hoist, encouragement to
those doing the hard work on the grinder will aid
efficiency and get the boat slicing through the water.
COLLABORATION
You can be the best sailor on the water but however
skilled, no one person can sail one of our yachts
alone. You need your team!
For our business it provided untold
kudos and our association with
Clipper Events provided us with
the right platform to promote our
business. For our guests this was
a day to be remembered, and was
a real win-win.

All in all it should provide its crews
with the experience of a lifetime, the
fun and pleasure of sailing an ocean
racing yacht and bring them home with
unforgettable memories. Remember:
memories are better than dreams...
Tony Castro on the Clipper 70s
The design objective was quite simple. We wanted a large, strong, fast and seaworthy yacht that
would race around the world at least 4 times. The boats have more than lived up to our expectations.
They have proved fast and reliable and given their crews some very exciting sailing through some of
the most dangerous waters in the world. It is heart-warming to see the yachts regularly out on the
water and giving so much pleasure to new and novice sailors.
Sir Robin Knox-Johnston
MAINSAIL AREA 111.3m sq or 1,194.8 feet sq
HEADSAIL AREA 128.6 m sq or 1,383.1 feet sq
YACHT WEIGHT 31,200kg or 30.71 ton
KEEL WEIGHT 12,000kg or 11.81 ton
Each yacht has four circumnavigations and more than 160,000 nautical miles under its hull, making the Clipper Race yachts proven in any environment.
