1.Come to class prepared to learn.
2.Respect your teachers, administrators, staffing members, peers, and yourself (including subsitute teachers).
3.Listen carefully so you can follow directions at all times.

Procedure

Procedure 1: Daily entrance of the classroom.
1. Enter quietly and go directly to your assigned seat.
2. Prepare your materials :
+ place homework on your desk top
+ sharpen pencils
+ discard trash, etc.
(These MUST be completed BEFORE the bell rings!!)
4. Start on your bell work.
(The ringing of the actual bell should be after you begin this.)
3. Write down homework assignment in your agenda.
Procedure 2: Participation
All students are expected to participate actively in class.
You must ask me, your teacher, a question THE SECOND you begin to not understand for clarification!
Procedure 3: Moving about the room.
1. You are given a 5 minute break in between classes. Please use the restroom during this break. You will not use the restroom after the final bell rings. Restroom breaks are not an acceptable excuse for disrupting learning unless it is an emergency.
2. After the bell rings, no one will be allowed to move about the room unless instructed by the teacher.

Procedure 5: Bellwork.
1st Use a loose leaf sheet of notebook paper and a pencil.
2nd Label your paper with the the appropriate heading.3rd Follow directions and work silently on your own.
4th Bellwork will be discussed and checked in class.
Procedure 6: Class Dismissal.
Procedure 7: When you are absent.
Uhhh .. How do I get my missing assignments?
Check the hanging file station by the door upon entrance of the classroom.
(Assignments that were assigned before an absence will be due the day you return from the absence.)
Make-up work
Procedure 8: Interactive notebooks.
a. Note-taking is NOT an option. It is a requirement for my class that will aid in the learning process.
b. Keeping an organized notebook HELPS YOU find materials or assignments needed to study for quizzes and tests and to assist you in daily homework assignments.
c. YOU will need to be responsible for keeping all graded papers.
d. Notebooks will be checked periodically for proper content.

Elementary (K-4),Walter Stokes School(5,6), John Trotwood Moore Middle(7,8), Hillsboro High(9-12), Austin Peay State University, and MTSU.
