CLASS VIII
Summer Holiday Homework
Holidays are around the corner. The scorching heat of May makes us all look forward to the long
summer vacation - a time for enjoyment and relaxation. So students relax, watch entertaining and
informative movies, read newspapers, magazines, books, visit friends and relatives. As important it is to
rest and enjoy, it is also important to devote some time for studies. Maintain a balance between work
and play. Parents need to limit the time for watching TV and supervise the channels the child watches,
give them valuable guidance and spend quality time with their children. Let vacation time be a doorway
to creativity, learning, growth, joy, happiness and above all bonding.
Holiday homework is a part of formative assessment and will be assessed on the basis of creativity and
efforts put in by the students.
Some guidelines to be followed during the holidays:
o Enhance your vocabulary by conversing in English with your friends and family.
o Update yourself with the current events by reading newspaper daily.
o Revise all the work done in the class .
o Manage your time in such a way that little work is done everyday and there is no piling
up for the last moment.
WISHING YOU A WONDERFUL AND EXCITING VACATION
