Question 1: I am just wondering in the event of travel restrictions due to covid 19, would a contractor still be required to fulfill their contract as per the spec time phases or would a delayed schedule be acceptable given the circumstances? If the project do get delayed I assume the existing pumps would just stay in the system working until such time the contractor can complete the work. Answer 1: The CCDC general terms and conditions section 6.5 addresses delays. Additional time will be provided to accommodate delays beyond the contractor’s control, but the contractor is not entitled to any additional payment for costs incurred due to the delays. These items are for clarification purposes only and does not change the scope of work of the tender. If you have any questions, please contact our office by email at [email protected].
