About Us
This hospital is established in 1927. First Civil Surgeon is Dr.Fawlar , this hospital is started under him. At first time this hospital has sanctioned 50 beds And 7 employees are here. After some period this hospital has increased beds and now we have sanction 476 beds in 25 Acker area.

National Aids Control Program – Historical Background / Periodical Development –Under Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society, Mumbai Voluntary Counseling and testing center is establish in 26 Jan. year 2002 in District Hospital, Akola OPD No. 30.
Infrastructure – Counseling confidential suggestion before and after testing.To guide the people in VCCTC & after their written permission blood testing for HIV/AIDS being done.

National Blindness Control Program – Historical Background / Periodical Development –Since 1981 organization of Eye Camps for conventional cataract surgery and provision of Aphalic Spectacles and since 1994 ECEE performs in every camps and vase hospital. Since 1998 IOL surgery started then small (SICS) cataract surgery started 2004 by Dr.Devraj Chauhan

Activities –
We involve in all National Programmes like National Aids Control Program, National Health Program, Pulse Polio Program, National surveillance Program, National Blindness Control Program, National Cancer Control Program, National Anti-Malaria Program,
We participated in all these programs successfully.
Also we arrange trainings, workshops for medical officer, in-charge sisters, staff nurses, technicians, class IV staff as well as all staff of rural hospital.
Also we arrange Camps for poor peoples like Heart Surgery Camp, Kuchtharog Camp, Plastic Surgery camp, Family Planning operation camp etc.
Service to Common People –
In this hospital we provide all facilities for common people which are available here. As well as we provide some special facilities to common people through camps and national programs.
We provide Sonography, Computerized TMT, C-Arm, Audiometry, Histroscopy, Branchoscopy, Gastroscopy, X-Ray, ECG, 2D Echo, City Scan, Various Lab Tests including Dengu, Maleria , Diff Blood test.
Also provide free service to Below poverty line people as well as special refer some complicated disease patients like Cancer, Kidney disease
