PRESENT: Norm Stanek, John Ambro, Robert Halverson, Tom Schauer and Kevin Riley
ABSENT: Mayor Button, Jim ChurchALSO PRESENT: Todd Fahning, Mark Sund, Ed Lukasek
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Norm Stanek.
Roll Call was done by the Clerk.
A motion was made by Bob Halverson and seconded by Kevin RileY to approve the consent agenda
consisting of the J uly !4,2OL4 minutes and the minutes of the Special Planning Commission meeting
on August 4, 2014. Motion carried 5-0,
A motion was made by John Ambro and seconded by Tom Schauer to approve the sign request forChildfirst Center of Care & Discovery at 711 W. Monttomery Street (formerly Connie's Daycare)'
Motion carried 5-0.
A motion was made by Kevin Riley and seconded by John Ambro to approve the CsM forPierce/Jackson at 416 S. Court Street. Motion carried 5-0.
A motion was made byJohn Ambro and seconded by Bob Halverson to approve the site plan forTheisen's on Hwy 27, Sparta, Motion carried 5-0.
Todd mentioned that Dave Evenson plans on grading his acreage on Hwy 27 for possible developing
later. He will be removing sand and then taking it to Tomah. This is being mentioned to let everyone
know what will be going on in that area,
A motion was made by John Ambro and seconded by Tom Schauer to approve the plans for the
storage accessory building for Hartland Lubes & Chemical at 2455 Commercial Ct. in Sparta. Motion
carried 4-0-1 with Norm Stanek abstaining.
An item mentioned for future consideration was:
There may be plans submitted for approvalfor a possible duplex on 5. Court Street
A motion was made by Kevin Riley and seconded by Bob Halverson to adrourn the meeting at
6:25 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
