COUNCIL 07-12-99 - 363 Motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Chylinski, Dansbury, Dickinson, Fahrner, Granger, Novitke, Steiner No: None Absent: None Oath of Office was administered by City Clerk Warnke to Ted L. Bidigare, new City Administrator. Hearing no objection, the presentation of a proclamation to Rachel Helm will be presented at the next City Council Meeting, July 19, 1999. Motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Chylinski, Dickinson, Fahrner, Granger, Novitke, Steiner No: None Absent: Dansbury Motion by Fahrner, supported by Granger, that the City Council concur with the recommendation of the Committee-of-the-Whole in their Minutes dated June 28, 1999, regarding a salary increase for the City Comptroller, and approve a salary increase in the amount of $3,000, effective July 1, 1999. Motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Dickinson, Fahrner, Granger, Novitke, Steiner No: Chylinski Absent: Dansbury Motion by Steiner, supported by Granger, that the City Council concur with the recommendation of the City Administrator, City Comptroller, and Pension Board in their Excerpt dated June 29, 1999, and APPROVE the following Invoices for payment:

A. Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Co, dated May 31, 1999, $10,456; B. Comerica Bank billing period 1/1/99 – 3/31/99, $6,165.64; C. Merrill Lynch dated April 20, 1999, $7,500; D. Loomis Sayles dated April 15, 1999, $43,630.20.

and to charge such to the following Pension Fund.

Motion carried by the following vote: Yes: Chylinski, Dickinson, Fahrner, Granger, Novitke, Steiner No: None Absent: Dansbury THE MEETING WAS THEREUPON OPENED AT 7:58 P.M. FOR A BOARD OF APPEAL HEARING TO HEAR THE APPEAL OF MYRON REDZINIAK, 597 ROSLYN, WHO IS APPEALING THE DENIAL OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR TO ISSUE A BUILDING PERMIT FOR 597 ROSLYN, GROSSE POINTE WOODS. THE PERMIT WAS DENIED DUE TO A DEFICIENCY IN THE SIDE YARD REQUIREMENTS OF THE 1997 CITY CODE. A VARIANCE IS THEREFORE REQUIRED IN 1997 CITY CODE SECTION 98-13.
