Transport Metadata Identification

What is a metadata? Data about data or information about information Metadata is structured information that describes, explains, locates, or otherwise makes

it easier to retrieve, use, or manage an information resource

Approach used To build upon existing standards and technologies used in that domain To find what are the most common pieces of information used to transport data

Transport Metadata Identification

Proposed process

1.Write down same basic statements in order to clarify what will be in and out the scope of the current work

2.Identify a list of candidate standards and technologies that are relevant to C-BML message transport

3.Study theses candidate standards and technologies in order to identify their metadata and to compare them

4.On the basis of that study, determine the list of C-BML Transport Metadata

Must be validated as

soon as possible

Proposed process steps1 - Basic statements

a) Transport service has no knowledge about the meaning of the content

b) In order to deliver the message the minimal (i.e. required) metadata are: Sender Business message (C-BML message in our context) List of receivers

Sender

Receiver #1

Receiver #2

Business message

Receiver #N
