Well – the holidays are finally behind us and things go back to normal (whatever that is!). I just want to remind you all our next Auxiliary meeting will be FEBRUARY 5TH at 7:00 PM. I would love to start the new year out with good attendance and many ideas! I waive the rest of my space to Rose D as she is sharing some wonderful information with us all. See you ‘round the post. Laureen - Auxiliary President TROOPS SEND THEIR THANKS I have been receiving letters and cards of Thanks from the troops for all the goodies and cards they have been receiving. I myself can not thank the community enough for all you have done and continue to do. When the pkgs are being shipped out I continue to remind the troops that I do not do this by myself if it wasn't for the community none of this would be possible. I would like to send special thanks to the Brewerton Elementary school for all their hard work on their homemade cards that were sent over at Christmas time, that was a great job done by the students and teachers, also thank you to the Central Square District Office for their donations that they collected from their home office, you are all to be commended. I know that the troops are so very thankful so I ask you to, please, continue to be generous whether you drop something off in the dona-tion box or if you would like to help with a monetary donation to help defray the cost of shipping, as that has gotten rather costly for

our auxiliary. I would like to say thank you to the American legion 787 and espe-cially the ladies auxiliary for allowing me to chair this project. This community is one to be proud of ! Great job done by all. Rosemary Danielewicz

The Key Card Locks in the doors have been changed, so if your card doesn’t work, and YOU HAVE YOUR 2008 MEMBERSHIP CARD, exchange the old one for a new one with the bartender, if you do not have your 2008 card, come prepared to pay your dues or you don’t get the new Trooper Purple card. The mailing list is being cut down, and persons who have not paid up are being re-moved (as soon as I get around to it) Let’s strive to get that 100% streamer again this year. We are currently the largest post in the county and want to keep that headway. Thank you to all the members who have paid for 2008. Doug Herrmann Post Adjutant/Membership Chair
